The Start of something new
The weekend kicked off with a bang as we introduced our brand new booth on Friday and Saturday. Sporting a sleek and innovative design, the booth showcased our commitment to FOVERVER.FASTER. It was the perfect place for runners and fans to get up close and personal with the latest PUMA gear.
A Run to Remember: The PUMA Shakeout Run
On Friday, PUMA treated runners to a memorable experience with a public Shakeout Run led by world-class athletes, Hendrik Pfeiffer and Maria Forero. The run brought together around 200 participants, creating an electrifying atmosphere in the heart of Cologne. It was a fantastic way to kickstart the weekend and set the tone for what was to come.
Product Sessions and Exclusive Interviews
Saturday afternoon was dedicated to PUMA’s valued accounts, who were invited to an exclusive event. The day featured in-depth product sessions, providing a sneak peek into the exciting offerings for FW24. Additionally, media interviews with PUMA athletes Konstanze Klosterhalfen, Gesa Krause, Joyce Hübner, Maria Forero, and Hendrik Pfeiffer provided insights into their journeys and partnership with PUMA.
An Evening of Elegance above the Roofs of Cologne
Saturday evening brought a touch of sophistication as PUMA hosted an exclusive evening event for guests in a rooftop bar overlooking the city. With breathtaking views and a relaxed atmosphere, it was a chance for everyone to unwind, connect and celebrate a successful weekend so far.
Marathon Madness on Sunday’s Main Event
Sunday was the climax of the Cologne Marathon weekend, with the marathon, half marathon, and relay marathon drawing a staggering 25,000 participants. PUMA’s presence was felt at every turn as we created a buzzing cheering zone at Friesenplatz.
The PUMA cheering zone was a spectacle in itself, featuring a lively DJ to keep the energy high, a NITRO tunnel through which runners passed, and much more. It was the place to be for both runners and spectators, creating an electrifying atmosphere throughout the day.
However, the real showstopper of the day was at KM39. To support the runners, we offered them a unique opportunity at the PUMA Pit Stop. At this crucial point in the race, runners could exchange their well-worn shoes for brand-new NITRO models. The old shoes, still full of the marathon spirit, were collected and donated to charity, ensuring that they found new life with someone in need.
The response to this activity was nothing short of incredible, with PUMA giving away a total of 250 pairs of running shoes. Runners crossed the finish line with a spring in their step, thanks to their fresh footwear, and the smiles on their faces were priceless.
Our participation in the Cologne Marathon weekend was a testament to our commitment to both performance and community.
