Sports legend PUMA and global icon Rihanna are at it again with the latest drop in their ongoing product franchise. Blending sportstyle heritage with Rihanna’s creative finesse and master status of all things music, culture and fashion, the first of many upcoming footwear launches leaps out on the stage. Introducing the FENTY x PUMA Avanti, we’ve styled a total look based off these new wardrobe frontrunners.

The Shoes

Coupling Riri’s fine taste for fashion with her love for football, the FENTYxPUMA Avanti is an unconventional remix of two PUMA icons, taking the high-quality leather of the King football boot and combining it with the recognizable outsole of the familiar favourite Easy Rider. With buttery soft vintage leather, gum outsole and leather footbed, the sneaker harks back to PUMA’s rich history on the field. A gold-foil debossed FENTY and PUMA Cat logo shines out from the fold over tongue, making sure Rihanna’s unique design DNA is heard, loud and proud. Available as a unisex shoe and for the whole family, in sizes suitable for adults and kids.

The whole Outfit

The Outfit

Paving the way for many more sports fashion collaborations, the Avanti is a perfect starting point to style a relevant and on-trend autumnal look. On the lower half we’re seeing red, literally ─ these delightful saffron trousers are aligned with the current colour splashing its way across runways. It’s a bold pop of colour (okay maybe more than just a pop) that confidently stands alongside the attitude emitted from the Avantis. Started from the bottom now we’re here ─ next up comes a complimentary high-shine metallic bralette. Even if it’s tucked away, it still gives a secret shimmer of confidence and stylish cohesion to the outfit. Moving to the upper layers, we have a remix of a simple classic ─ this ribbed jersey top is slashed with cutouts along the bodice, giving it an edgy finish that reveals flashes of skin but is balanced by a rather elegant bateau neckline. The finishing piece that makes a pretty loud statement is the smooth and modern oversized leather wrap coat. Timeless and durable, leather is irresistible every autumn, while the adjustable waist ensures that your silhouette remains defined and the raw edges stay in the same textural realm as the cutout piece we see below.

The Accessories

The carefully curated accessories stand in their power, united by a shared edginess and elegance. This season we’re seeing plenty of mixed-metal and all-silver jewellery offerings, which happen to perfectly pair with the Avantis. Uniquely twisted hoop earrings are just oversized enough to be bold without taking over; a pair of silver-tone modern sunglasses give us diamonds in our eyes. A silver body chain layers overtop the crisp white long sleeve, perfectly playing along that line of elegance and edge, while this silver bag with red details ties in tones and texture, and the metallic silver reflects any shade you wanna wear, making it this season’s shining new spin on ‘neutral’. Last but certainly not least, a bold red lip is the ultimate accessory, tying in shades that run throughout the outfit and making a clear, confident closing (or opening) statement.

PUMA and Rihanna are a match we can’t get enough of, and ever since their first collab in 2015 with the iconic Creeper, their relationship just continues to blossom and bear fruit. Proudly displaying Rihanna’s creative design language and merging that with PUMAs rich history and sports heritage, the new FENTYxPUMA Avanti is the first of many products in the expanding franchise.
