PUMA's Sustainability
Wins - Explained
Gen-Z Voices make our change visible.
June 5, 2025Gen-Z Voices make our change visible.
June 5, 2025Let’s be honest, sustainability reports are important, but not always an easy read. That’s why we challenged three of our changemakers to highlight our most important achievements and make our 2024 Sustainability Report easier (and more fun) to understand.
Here’s how they brought it to life:
Aishwarya’s Material World Tour
Pack your bags- Aishwarya Sharma took us around the globe (and into the lab) to explore how PUMA is transforming the very materials our products are made from. From showcasing RE:FIBRE (our textile-to-textile recycling program) to spotlighting cardboard packaging and leather sourcing, her “Material World Tour” shed some light on our material stats.

Luke’s Carbon Cost of Food
Cheese vs. bananas? Luke Jaque-Rodney unpacked the carbon impact of our food choices in a way that made us all rethink our shopping carts, while helping us shift the focus from where food comes from to how it’s made. But the twist? He connected it back to PUMA’s own canteens and operations, highlighting how we’ve already cut emissions by 86% since 2017 at our own sites.

Andrew’s Trainers-to-Treasure Challenge
When life gives you a faulty pair of Speedcats, Andrew makes… a utility belt? That’s right, Andrew Burgess turned a factory defect into functional fashion, reminding us that circularity is always an option. He shared how PUMA has reduced landfill waste per footwear pair by 87.8% – and challenged the world to get creative with #ForeverBetter DIYs.

Why It Matters
This campaign wasn’t just about creating fun content – it was about making change visible. Our Sustainability team at PUMA has done amazing work, but that work isn’t always seen. Which is why the Voices took otherwise complex, data-heavy information and transformed it into information that’s a bit more digestible for everyday, and for everyone.
So, the next time someone says, “Sustainability reports are boring,” or “I have no idea what these reports are talking about,” make sure to send them Aishwarya’s material tour, Luke’s food facts, or Andrew’s DIY tackling.
But of course, if you’re up for the challenge yourself, you can check out PUMA’s 2024 Sustainability Report right HERE.
