November 11, 2020

PUMA India has been recognised as a great place to work for Women, according to the latest ranking by the Great Place to Work® Institute.

We wanted to find out more, so we asked three inspiring women at PUMA India about their career formula, learning and training, and why they think PUMA is a great place to work.

Anjana Asrani

Senior Manager Communications

What makes PUMA a great place to work?

For me, it’s the people who make all the difference at work. The open and flat organisational structure gives us the freedom to collaborate across functions which makes work a lot more enriching and fun. Our people-centric culture is what makes PUMA a great place to work.

Has PUMA given you opportunities to network and grow?

PUMA gives umpteen opportunities to learn and grow. Since the time I have joined, I have been a part of various cross-functional collaborations and several important projects. This has given me an opportunity to learn a great deal from my peers and leaders alike.

What is your career formula?

Hard work, humility and openness to learn has helped me a great deal in my career.

Akanksha Srivastava

Head of Brand Content

What makes PUMA a great place to work?

The corporate culture! That’s the best thing. It helps you to connect with others and build lasting relationships.

Has PUMA given you opportunities to network and grow?

Yes, absolutely! In my role, I get the opportunity to work cross functionally with other business units: retail, e-commerce, digital and social teams. This has helped me learn a lot more about the business of marketing and that understanding has helped me to successfully deliver Return on Investment based campaigns for the brand in India.

What is your career formula?

The best learning is “learning on the job” and taking in as much as you can from the people around you.

Ibethombi Chingtham

Assistant Manager, Footwear Design

What makes PUMA a great place to work?

The support and encouragement that I’ve received on the professional and personal front, has been outstanding and that’s what makes it such a great place. Being a mother of two kids, balancing parenthood and work tends to get a tad bit challenging. I consider myself lucky to have really compassionate colleagues who understand what it is like to be a working mother and cheer for me to achieve my career goals.

Has PUMA given you opportunities to network and grow?

In the 10 years that I’ve been at PUMA, I have received plenty of opportunities. I have worked with multicultural teams and the experience has been extremely enriching. I feel the most important thing is to be open to all the opportunities that come your way.

What is your career formula?

As long as you are willing to go so far, sky is the limit!
