Meet our RUN PUMA Athletes from Czech Republic, Vít Pališta and Marcela Joglová

February 3, 2022

Preparing to lace up and log some serious miles? Our NITRO runners are ready for it. We’d like to introduce you to some long distance professionals, PUMA Family members Vít Pavlišta and Marcela Joglová. Find out about their favorite racing shoe and their tips on training and on how to stay injury free.

We are so happy you are part of the PUMA Family. Why did you decide for PUMA?

Marcela Joglova: I want to be faster at races and I am looking for ways to push my limits. PUMA gave me an inkling of something that I know for ages: Limit does not exist.

What is your ultimate goal you would like to achieve as an athlete?

Marcela Joglova: I don´t have the ultimate goal, but the Olympic Games in Paris would a fantastic achievement.

My favorite racing shoe is…

Marcela Joglova: PUMA Deviate Nitro Elite. They are the reason why I have chosen PUMA. However, I tried the new PUMA Fast – R Nitro Elite. Something tells me, that in two months they can become my favorite ones. 🙂

Why do you like them?

Marcela Joglova: PUMA Elite Nitro are light and not very tight. PUMA is able to produce racing shoes that fulfill my picky and individual requirements. 🙂

Finally, can you give our PUMAs a few tips on how to stay injury-free.

Marcela Joglova: It is hard to say how to avoid injuries. There are many factors involved. In my opinion, the most significant is the mindset. It is very important to listen to your body and to give it what it wants. This involves everything (nutrition, regeneration, yoga, breathing, hardening, but also to rotate pairs of running shoes). A varied lifestyle is the main protection from injuries in my opinion.

Why did you decide to join the PUMA Family?

Vít Pavlišta: I have worn many running shoes in my life. It is fantastic for me to see how good the Nitro Elite racing shoes are. They convinced me.

What is your ultimate goal you would like to achieve as an athlete?

Vít Pavlišta: The most important thing for me is to avoid injuries and have fun during my runs. I´ve been training for many years and done quite a progress but still these things are more important for me than the finish times. They never let me stop. Running is my life.

How can PUMA help you to achieve this goal?

Vít Pavlišta: By providing me performance shoes for training and racing that saves my musculoskeletal system and helps me to deliver a great performance.

Do you have any training tips to share?

Vít Pavlišta: It is important to have the training/running varied. It makes it more fun, it is a more complex activity for different muscle groups and also your progress is faster. Running doesn´t need to be a stereotyped activity.
