PUMA Athlete Devynne Charlton breaks 16-year-old 60m hurdles world record
February 13, 2024
In a true FOREVER. FASTER. moment, PUMA athlete Devynne Charlton of the Bahamas shattered the 60m hurdles world record at the Millrose Games in New York. With speed and determination, Charlton clocked an astonishing 7.67 seconds, breaking the world record that stood for 16 years.
Charlton, already a world indoor silver medallist, proved her mettle once again on the track as she crossed the finish line in her remarkable performance just one hundredth of a second faster than the previous record set by Sweden’s Susanna Kallur in 2008.
“I knew I could do it,”
said Charlton, after her record-breaking run.
The historic achievement puts Devynne Charlton in the spotlight, as she gears up for the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow next month. With this stunning victory under her belt, Charlton now finds herself among the elite favorites for the upcoming competition on the global stage.
The whole PUMAFam is thrilled by this great achievement! Congrats, Devynne!
