Get the Look: PUMA x Perks and Mini

May 1, 2023

PUMA and Perks and Mini (or P.A.M. for short) partner up to present a portion of their PAM/PUMA BIO/VERSE project. This collection overflows with technical sportswear that is infused with a ‘psy-active’ energy, courtesy of P.A.M. Inspired by the act of gearing up for a wild adventure, we’ve styled two looks perfect for any urban expedition.

The Shoes

Centered around the concept of exploring (and preserving) the biodiversity of our planet, this second season of PAM/PUMA BIO/VERSE works with the Sumatran Ranger Project and Rainforest Connection to support biodiversity monitoring surveys, community-led ranger patrols and habitat restoration in North Sumatra.

To keep it grounded and real while supporting a good cause, the drop offers several unique footwear options that are as creative as they are adventurous. For the look today we loved the Prevail TRL and the Clyde Rubber ─ familiar PUMA silhouettes with a fresh new look, vivid colour blocking, and high-visibility accents on the laces and trim.

The whole Outfit

The Outfit(s)

Perks and Mini is an Australian lifestyle label at the cutting edge of streetwear design; the name actually comes from the graffiti tags belonging to the married power couple behind the label. Infusing this edgy creativity into their items, the latest installment features light, trail-inspired pieces with trippy graphics and functional materials to help you gear up for adventure.

The first look is funky and functional. On the bottom, we have a pair of woven pants from the line, durable and lightweight. Above comes the soft cotton tee (also from the drop) with trippy swirling graphics on the front and back. Catching and matching the neon accents in the Prevail TRLs, a vivid overshirt is a final addition, with neon green and canary yellow flashing in an abstract pattern print. Channel your outdoor exploration vibes while keeping things urban with playful graphics and subtle matching.

The second look is prepared for anything but determined to do so in peak style. At the base is a pair of fashionably baggy cargo jeans with plenty of practical pockets and a nice worn-in feel. Then comes an activewear crop top with a high neck, giving nonchalance even as it fluidly fades from black to yellow in a rich ombré effect. With a V-shaped cut-out on the lower back, it also brings a degree of sensuality to the slouchier pieces. Speaking of slouchy, we finished off with a classic crewneck hoodie from the line ─ wear it baggy for ultra comfort and bonus streetstyle points

The Accessories

We kept the concepts of fun and function in mind when styling the accessories. Outfit one is fairly simple with the snapback cap and durable backpack from the collection, finishing off with a pair of funky yellow shades that match the vibes established by the playful graphics in the tee and psychedelic overshirt.

Outfit two also incorporates a snapback and bag (plus a water bottle) from the line, this time in an uplifting shade of red. Paired with this comes a practical square-neck swimsuit in that same shade, perfect for heading out on a hike and then taking a cheeky swim afterward. A pair of cat-eyed shades and mismatched gold earrings (also from P.A.M.) up the ante, while still keeping everything rather effortless.

The PUMA x P.A.M. collection is a testament to the power of creative partnership and environmental awareness. Effortlessly transition from the city to the wild, while you embrace your adventurous side and express your individuality through style.
