Welcome to the PUMA Fam, Julien! 22 year old Julien Alfred is a track star on the rise as the first woman in NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) history to break the seven second barrier at 60 metres. In doing so, she also secured her spot as the all-time second fastest indoor sprinter at both 60 and 200 metres. Julien joins the PUMA Fam ahead of this week’s Diamond League in Monaco, wearing our evoSPEED TOKYO NITRO track and field spikes. A seven-time NCAA Champion, undefeated in the 100 metres during the 2022 NCAA season, 100m silver medalist at the Commonwealth Games Birmingham 2022 and gold at the Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador earlier this month, Julien’s track record is far from completed. “PUMA has such legendary status in athletics, so the decision to join their family was an easy one. Over the last two weekends, PUMA Running took on competitions across the globe. The fourth and fifth meetings of the Diamond League took place in Paris and Oslo, as well as other competitions such as the Paavo Nurmi Games and Bislett Games. Not only did PUMA Athletes claim the podium, they also broke records – including PUMA Para-Athlete Salum Kashafali setting a new World Record in the T13 100m.
