Julien crowned Best Female Athlete in Paris
PUMA Athlete Julien Alfred wins prestigious ANOC award 2024
The “Playground – Sneakers to conquer the world” exhibition takes a step back and traces the history of sneakers since the 20th century, featuring 23 PUMA shoes from the PUMA Archive as well as six pairs provided by PUMA´s Innovationteam. And the good news is, you still have plenty of time to stop by, if you are around. The exhibition runs until January 10, 2021.
Sneakers influence our style, our personality and sometimes hide beautiful anecdotes behind their designs. The handpicked PUMA collection showcases for instance a PELÈ KING, Dassler Running Spikes, FUTURE, Basket Classic, Fast Rider, RS Computer and the Boris Backer Wimbledon 86.
Basketball, tennis or trainer, they all influenced the way we live, and the way we dress, since the early 20th century. Worn by millions of people all over the world, SNEAKERS have, in just a few decades, become a mass-market product that transcends gender, age, social and cultural background. But how did a simple sports shoe make the leap from the pitch to become a genuine fashion accessory seen on pavements around the world? The exhibition shows the evolution of this giant industry and showcase the sneaker in all its cultural dimensions. WE LOVE IT!
