PUMA athlete Mondo Duplantis sets new pole vault World Record of 6.19m

March 7, 2022

He did it! PUMA athlete Armand ‘Mondo’ Duplantis on Monday set a new pole vault world record, clearing a height of 6.19 meters! With this enormous jump, the Swede improved on his previous record by one centimeter.

Mondo, who is only 22-years old and became a PUMA athlete in 2019, performed this amazing feat at the indoor meeting in Belgrade, Serbia. It means he has jumped the three highest pole vaults in the sport’s history. For Mondo, it’s a dream come true, as he has made several attempts at this height.

I think I’ve tried 6.19 fifty times,” Mondo told reporters after the event. “It’s been a long time coming. I’ve never had a height quite give me the trouble like that ever my entire life, and I’ve been jumping for a very long time.

Congratulations from your PUMA Family, Mondo!
