Freedom of Movement

March 8, 2024

In celebration of the women at the core of the PUMA family, here comes the new SHAPELUXE collection, a training series featuring innovative high-performance items designed for unrestricted freedom of movement. Motivated by this idea of getting comfortable in our skin (not to mention clothes) we’ve styled a breezy spring look with pieces plucked from the SHAPELUXE series.

The Shoes

Digging down into iconic sportstyle roots we’ve come up with a pair of fashion-forward X-Ray 2 Square Trainers as a starting point. Reminiscent of the early 2000s, they display on-trend chunky details, an original mix of materials and sleek tooling that conveys Y2K vibes with a forward-facing feel. Plus, with supportive midsole and Softfoam cushioning, these trainers promise long-lasting comfort embedded in every step of your day.

The Outfit

The SHAPELUXE line was crafted to flow with your natural movements, ensuring freedom of motion regardless of your physical abilities, body type, or identity. Each of the snug-fitting garments are designed for a close-to-the-skin sensation; engineered with PUMA’s cutting-edge LYCRA® ADAPTIV fiber technology, they offer sculpting and support without compromising on stretch, breathability, or comfort.

We are in the midst of a trans-seasonal shift ─ spring is in the air and the sunshine is slowly returning, putting a slight pep in our step and calling for more movement and outward motion. Taking cues from nature, just as the buds are popping off the trees it’s a moment for putting those darker moody hues on standby and reaching for brighter pops of bold colour in your outfits. At the center of today’s look is the smoothing and soft PUMA’s Move Shapeluxe Bra in a woodsy shade of Teak. It’s an essential item with engineered support and  double jersey knit with ultra fine yarns that merge to your movements. Alongside this practical piece is the sculpted SHAPELUXE High-Waisted Biker Shorts in a bright Lime shade that’s giving main character energy. As always, shorts are super in for this season, and with the sportswear aesthetic firmly anchored in the everyday wardrobe, these two pieces just make sense.

Accompanying the collection items come some more soft and neutral side characters ─ a beige open-knit half-sleeve cardi-coat that allows the SHAPELUXE items to peek out, and a reinterpreted classic denim jacket with drop shoulders and an elongated silhouette adds a little bit of structure to frame the other more flowy items.

The Accessories

Accessories always offer an opportunity to express your individual tastes in little details. Patchwork dot earrings composed of multiple metals (brass, steel, crystal) give a nice flair, especially when paired with an embellished ear cuff composed of equally varied materials. A twisted bracelet glimmers at the wrist, matching in terms of tones and textures. A soft beige embroidered cap coordinates well with the cardigan and X-Ray 2s and furthers the sportswear feel. A lime shoulder bag with gold hardware chats with the bold biker shorts. Finally a pair of tortoise-shell sunglasses beckon to the emerging sunshine ─ we’re not delusional, just hopeful.

Marking the debut of the SHAPELUXE training collection, PUMA champions women who defy expectations and shape their own stories. Introducing sportstyle items designed for unrestricted movement that challenge any sort of one-size-fits-all concepts, the collection seeks to comfortably support you as you move through life. Comfort dressing? You don’t have to tell us twice.
