PUMA ranked in Top 10 of most sustainable companies in Germany

December 2, 2020

PUMA has made it into the top 10 of the most sustainable companies in Germany, according to a recent survey of German magazine Stern and research organisation Statista. According to the survey, PUMA is by far the most sustainable company in the textile and sportswear industries.

Statista and Stern surveyed 2000 companies and interviewed 13,000 people to create the ranking. All companies in the survey had more than 500 employees, though companies in the defence industry and those with exceptionally high carbon emissions were excluded.

The survey analysed environmental factors such as waste, emissions, and the use of renewable energies, social factors such as women in leadership positions, staff turnover and human rights policies, as well as economic criteria such as corporate governance policies, anti corruption policies and financial stability. It also asked a panel of 13,000 people which companies they thought did most for sustainability.

Out of 100 possible points, PUMA scored 85, giving it the 10th spot in the overall ranking.
