Earlier this year, our creative teams gathered for a workshop to explore the seasonal creative direction – a concept named Sportsmania – through the lens of product creation, craftsmanship, and material story deep dives. In the workshop, our designers had the chance to practically explore their ideas. Take a peek inside the creative heart of PUMA!
While digital research, store checks, and fashion weeks inspire our design directions, it is the hands-on experience that truly brings these concepts to life. Collaborating with two regional experts in apparel and footwear craftsmanship, the team developed and tested new design concepts for upcoming seasons. The workshops give our designers the chance to explore and refine their ideas and work on different projects for apparel, graphics, footwear, and accessories. The goal is to inspire collective dreaming, push boundaries, stepping out of comfort zones, and challenge the status quo.

The last workshop focused on Sportsmania, the intersect of sport and culture. The goal was to bring back the joy and take ownership of this space with our future designs. By drawing on our rich heritage, we can revisit and celebrate some of our proudest moments.

The Team Sanity Base serves as an atelier, studio, and creative hub, offering facilities for sewing, prototyping, garment embellishment, and inspiration. The core activities of this workshop took place in their atelier, and was supported by seasoned experts and assistants renowned in the industry.

Schuhmanufaktur Renn is a fully operational footwear factory offering our participants a crash course in shoemaking, where they can complete their footwear by attaching the uppers to the sole units. They were guided by experienced footwear specialists and technicians.
