PUMA employees drove to Ukraine to help colleagues in the country with food deliveries

March 15, 2022

PUMA´s solidarity with our Ukrainian PUMA Family and with the people of the country continues. Last week, PUMA employees drove to a house located in Ternopil, where PUMA set up accommodation for its employees who had to flee the conflict.

The city of Ternopil is located in in western Ukraine, a territory that has been largely spared from the conflict at this point. Our PUMA van was loaded with food, beverages and other tools and gadgets that are of need at the moment. The house in Ternopil currently accommodates more than 100 people and has space for approximately 200. Our IT team also managed to equip the residents with SIM cards to secure their communication to the outside world. After unloading the delivery, our PUMAs used the space in the van and took six people with them across the border.

“In these difficult times, it is very encouraging to see the wave of solidarity coming from members of the PUMA Family in different parts of the world. Seeing this kind of spirit makes us very proud to be a part of PUMA. We are thankful for the personal commitment and great family spirit of our teams who work day and night to protect the wellbeing of our Ukrainian colleagues as much as possible.” – Dietmar Knoess, Global Director People & Organization
