David Plink, CEO of the Top Employer Institute, lauded our achievement
“PUMA has reached a remarkable milestone in their journey as a Top Employer. Starting in 2020 with certifications in five European countries, they expanded to Global Certification in 2023 across 24 countries. We are proud to announce that PUMA has been recognized as an Enterprise Certified Top Employer for 2025, encompassing all 50 countries where they operate. This progression from Global Certification, which is based on the number of certified countries, to Enterprise Certification, which covers the entire organisation, underscores PUMA’s commitment to driving HR excellence at every level.”
What Does This Certification Mean for PUMA?
Earning the Top Employer Large Enterprise certification goes beyond just streamlined HR practices; it reflects our commitment to putting PEOPLE FIRST by fostering a workplace where employees can thrive and bring their true authentic selves to work, all while establishing a global standard of excellence in HR practices. We ensure a supportive and inclusive work culture worldwide, with a strong focus on diversity, health, well-being, and development. Across locations, we offer flexible working options, hybrid models, and resources designed to help employees maintain a sustainable work-life balance.
Our commitment to growth includes developing talent from within, equipping employees with tailored programs to prepare for leadership roles. Additionally, our global well-being initiatives, such as fitness access, health checks, and nutrition support, ensure employees thrive both personally and professionally.
Dietmar Knoess, our Vice President People & Organization, emphasises the importance of the Top Employer Enterprise certification:
“I’ve always believed we had a strong People & Organization team, but sometimes it’s just a gut feeling. Thanks to our partnership with Top Employer, we have the confirmation that we’re doing a great job. And of course, we want to move faster and scale the benchmark—measuring ourselves against other companies—because staying on top is what matters.”
Behind the Scenes of the Certification
Achieving this global recognition required teamwork and dedication from every corner of the organization. Our achievement underscores the strength of our global collaboration and showcases how we were able to keep our unique PUMA spirit while aligning standardized practices with local needs.“As the Global Project Manager, I was responsible for providing evidence of the consistently done HR practices required for certification. A key aspect was differentiating between globally standardized practices and locally tailored measures. The greatest challenge was collecting and compiling this information from all entities within the given timeframe while familiarizing Top Employer with PUMA’s unique culture. However, thanks to the invaluable support of our global colleagues, we successfully achieved this objective as a united team.”

Building a Legacy That Lasts
And our journey doesn’t end at the big milestones — we are here to create a sustainable foundation for future success.
“This achievement is the result of a great effort of many PUMAs. We are extremely proud of all who helped make this happen! Thanks for the determination, drive, joy, and passion you brought to this project!”
