The world’s biggest celebrity football match returned for its 11th edition last Sunday. PUMA also returned as a proud sponsors of the event for the 4th year. And what a fantastic show it has been! Soccer Aid for UNICEF 2022 was officially a record-breaker, raising an incredible £15,673,728 – the most in Soccer Aid history! All the money raised will help UNICEF’s work around the world, so that children everywhere can have the childhood they deserve. In the friendly-style football match, two teams competed against each other – World XI (led by PUMA legend Usain Bolt) against England (captained by former One Direction star Liam Payne). WATCH SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MATCH!
The hotly anticipated match took place at London Stadium, with 54,410 fans in attendance. The match ended 4-1 with penalties to Soccer Aid World XI, taking them into the overall lead with 6-5 wins since the inaugural 2006 match. UNICEF UK Ambassador, Robbie Williams, delivered a special half time performance, captivating the crowd with fan-favourite, Angels.

In addition to the jerseys, we also designed six personalized shoes for: Usain Bolt, Andriy Shevchenko (football manager and former professional football player) , Liam Payne (singer), Idris Elba (actor), Chunkz (YouTube personality and for Tom Grennan (singer/songwriter). We also had our PUMA boot truck on site throughout the week for the players to wear and test the shoes.

ABOUT SOCCER AID FOR UNICEF
Soccer Aid ⚽️ is a British annual charity event that now has raised over £75 million in aid of UNICEF UK, through ticket sales and donations from the public. The televised event is a friendly-style football match between two teams. Soccer Aid was initiated in 2006 by Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes. It initially took place every two years, however, from the 2018 edition, it is now held annually.
