Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9e vers 1979 par les grimpeurs Adam Grosowsky et Jeff Ellington dans la vall\u00e9e de Yosemite (\u00c9tats-Unis). Si les deux sports se ressemblent beaucoup, la version moderne \u00e9voque un ensemble enti\u00e8rement nouveau de comp\u00e9tences et de techniques. Pour ma\u00eetriser la slackline, il faut <strong>combinaison d'\u00e9quilibre, de coordination et de concentration<\/strong>. Contrairement \u00e0 la corde raide ou au fil de fer, la slackline est maintenue sous tension, mais elle n'est pas tendue. Cela la rend tr\u00e8s dynamique et la fait bouger lorsque vous la traversez. De plus, une slackline est plate.
