Mais vous pouvez encore am\u00e9liorer vos habitudes alimentaires en faisant plus attention \u00e0 la couleur de vos aliments.<br\/>\n<br\/>Le mot magique qui donne toute son importance \u00e0 la couleur des aliments que nous mangeons est <strong>produits phytochimiques<\/strong>. Les substances phytochimiques sont des compos\u00e9s chimiques produits par les plantes et sont, entre autres, \u00e0 l'origine de la couleur des fruits et des l\u00e9gumes. La couleur provient du b\u00eata-carot\u00e8ne, un carot\u00e9no\u00efde que l'on trouve par exemple dans les carottes, les citrouilles et les patates douces. Notre organisme transforme le b\u00eata-carot\u00e8ne en vitamine A, qui contribue \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 des muqueuses et des yeux. Les oranges et le ma\u00efs contiennent des niveaux relativement \u00e9lev\u00e9s d'un autre carot\u00e9no\u00efde appel\u00e9 lut\u00e9ine.
