Ce fut le d\u00e9but de mon tout premier blog - et de ma premi\u00e8re campagne virale - qui combinait la mode et l'activisme et se concentrait sur la fa\u00e7on dont les femmes souffrent dans le monde d'aujourd'hui. Nous avons continu\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler avec des marques du monde entier, en Inde, ainsi qu'avec des partenaires du secteur de la responsabilit\u00e9 sociale des entreprises et des organisations non gouvernementales. En 2020, je suis devenue ambassadrice des Nations unies pour l'objectif 10, puis pour l'objectif 5 et pour tout ce qui concerne la mode, la durabilit\u00e9 et l'activisme. Nous avons continu\u00e9 \u00e0 combiner et \u00e0 combler le foss\u00e9 entre ces trois \u00e9l\u00e9ments et \u00e0 toucher davantage de personnes.<br\/>\n<br\/>Mon parcours a \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s difficile : quand on vient d'un pays comme l'Inde, on comprend moins bien ce que la mode peut faire en termes d'activisme. La combinaison des deux signifie que vous faites quelque chose de frivole : il existe un st\u00e9r\u00e9otype g\u00e9n\u00e9ral selon lequel la mode est une industrie frivole. <strong>Alors comment un influenceur de mode peut-il parler d'attaques \u00e0 l'acide, d'agressions sexuelles, d'injustices sociales, de revenus \u00e9quitables ou de droits du travail ?<\/strong> Pendant de nombreuses ann\u00e9es, j'ai eu du mal \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 cette question. Partout o\u00f9 j'allais, les gens me disaient que l'on peut soit devenir une personne dans la mode, soit devenir une ONG sociale ou un travailleur social. <strong>Les gens n'\u00e9taient pas pr\u00eats \u00e0 accepter que l'on puisse faire les deux.<\/strong> Je suis heureuse que nous soyons arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 un point o\u00f9 l'activisme dans la mode est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme une industrie parall\u00e8le \u00e0 l'industrie de la mode.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Qu'est-ce qui vous a incit\u00e9 \u00e0 vous impliquer dans le d\u00e9veloppement durable ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Aishwarya : L'effondrement du Rana Plaza au Bangladesh en 2013 a \u00e9t\u00e9 un signal d'alarme pour le monde et pour moi. Je me souviens que j'\u00e9tudiais au lyc\u00e9e \u00e0 l'\u00e9poque et que toutes les cha\u00eenes d'information en ont parl\u00e9. Il a co\u00fbt\u00e9 la vie \u00e0 plus de 1 100 personnes. Nous ne cessions de nous interroger, <strong>Qu'est-ce que ces usines ? Comment une usine peut-elle s'effondrer ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>\u00c0 l'\u00e9poque, nous n'\u00e9tions pas au courant des droits du travail ou des conditions de sant\u00e9 et de travail, en particulier dans l'industrie de la mode, et c'est \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0 qu'ont commenc\u00e9 mes recherches. J'ai beaucoup lu et j'ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 comprendre ce que le Bangladesh et les activistes du Bangladesh d\u00e9fendaient, et apparemment, ils d\u00e9fendaient le changement depuis des ann\u00e9es, mais cela n'a jamais \u00e9t\u00e9 couvert par les m\u00e9dias. La seule chose dont on parlait, c'\u00e9tait l'effondrement de l'usine. Il a fallu la perte de tant de personnes pour que cette question fasse les gros titres.<br\/>\n<br\/>Ma relation avec le d\u00e9veloppement durable a commenc\u00e9 bien avant que je ne r\u00e9alise ce qu'est le d\u00e9veloppement durable. Elle s'est transform\u00e9e en une compr\u00e9hension qui <strong>nous ne pouvons pas vivre sans r\u00e9duire notre impact sur la plan\u00e8te.<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Quel est le th\u00e8me de la durabilit\u00e9 qui rev\u00eat une importance cruciale pour vous ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Aishwarya : Adolescente, j'\u00e9tais obs\u00e9d\u00e9e par les magazines de mode. Je voulais conna\u00eetre les derni\u00e8res tendances, mais j'ai vite chang\u00e9 d'avis pour me concentrer sur ce qui \u00e9tait bon pour moi plut\u00f4t que sur la glamourisation de la mode rapide. Aujourd'hui, <strong>Il est entendu que nous voulons rester fid\u00e8les \u00e0 notre propre style, ce qui nous d\u00e9finit et r\u00e9duit notre impact global sur la plan\u00e8te.<\/strong> Ne suivez pas aveugl\u00e9ment les tendances. Pr\u00e8s de 50% de mon public ou de mes followers sont des femmes \u00e2g\u00e9es de 18 \u00e0 26 ans. Je veux que quelqu'un qui a 18 ans et qui me suit sache qu'elle doit s'en tenir \u00e0 son propre style et ne pas suivre les tendances. Je veux changer toute la conversation parce que je ne veux pas que plus de filles soient prises avec ce que j'ai \u00e9t\u00e9 prise avec quand j'avais 17 ans. <strong>Je veux qu'ils soient eux-m\u00eames.<\/strong><br\/>\n<\/div>\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- row text single -->\n<div class=\"gradientnone\">\n<div class=\"row rowSingleColumnWide spacing\">\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div class=\"textStyle_2b\" ><br\/><strong>Quelle est votre plus grande r\u00e9ussite \u00e0 ce jour ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Aishwarya : Je pense que ma plus grande r\u00e9ussite, de la mani\u00e8re la plus simple qui soit, est d'avoir r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 gagner un nombre consid\u00e9rable d'adeptes alors m\u00eame que je faisais quelque chose de peu conventionnel. Alors que la plupart des jeunes de mon \u00e2ge faisaient du blogging de mode une carri\u00e8re \u00e0 plein temps, j'ai cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 faire en sorte que le blogging de mode soit diff\u00e9rent. Lorsqu'on veut faire quelque chose de non conventionnel, on a toujours peur d'\u00e9chouer. J'ai donc pris le risque de faire ce que je voulais parce que je voulais aider les gens gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ma plateforme. En Inde, il n'y a pas beaucoup d'opportunit\u00e9s pour les activistes de la mode et les gens ne comprennent m\u00eame pas ce que c'est. Le simple fait de cr\u00e9er cette compr\u00e9hension a en quelque sorte chang\u00e9 la donne au cours des quatre derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, et aujourd'hui, en Inde, les gens et les marques sont plus conscients.<br\/>\n<br\/>Ce que je fais est ax\u00e9 sur les droits de l'homme, les femmes et le d\u00e9veloppement durable, c'est pourquoi devenir ambassadrice des objectifs mondiaux des Nations unies est une autre grande r\u00e9ussite pour moi. En 2021, on m'a demand\u00e9 de pr\u00e9sider le coordinateur indien du Global Peace Accord. \u00c9tant originaire du Sud, il est tr\u00e8s important de si\u00e9ger dans ces conseils, car le Sud est le plus vuln\u00e9rable au changement climatique. <strong>Nous pouvons voir ce qui se passe sous nos yeux, c'est une conversation qui n'est pas lointaine, c'est notre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 quotidienne.<\/strong> <strong>Il est important de prendre les devants et d'\u00eatre unis dans notre lutte contre le changement climatique, de mettre sur la table des solutions cr\u00e9dibles et d'exiger davantage.<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Cela dit, je suis heureuse que les gens comprennent la valeur de la pr\u00e9sence d'un activiste de la mode sur ces forums, surtout lorsqu'on m'a demand\u00e9 ce que j'essayais de faire avec ma plateforme dans le pass\u00e9. J'ai l'impression qu'avec d'autres, j'ai ouvert la voie \u00e0 d'autres personnes dans le monde.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Quels sont vos principes en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement durable ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Aishwarya : Me laisser guider par ma voix int\u00e9rieure, par ma propre conscience, et vivre d'une mani\u00e8re qui soit saine pour moi, et non comme quelqu'un d'autre me le dicte. Pour les habitants du Sud, la durabilit\u00e9 est compl\u00e8tement diff\u00e9rente du reste du monde, car nous vivons dans une culpabilit\u00e9 permanente. Nous voyons tellement de choses autour de nous que, m\u00eame si je suis reconnaissant de ce que j'ai, je me demande comment je pourrais faire plus avec les ressources dont je dispose pour aider les autres. Nous nous sentons constamment coupables de nous complaire dans des choses qui sont certainement n\u00e9fastes pour d'autres personnes, surtout si ces personnes sont juste en face de nous. Pour nous, les personnes touch\u00e9es ne sont pas un nombre imaginaire - ce sont les personnes qui sont juste \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de nous.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Comment comptez-vous utiliser votre plateforme avec PUMA pour contribuer \u00e0 rendre le monde de la mode plus durable ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Aishwarya : Si vous regardez PUMA, ils sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 \u00eatre plus transparents, ils sont pr\u00eats \u00e0 avoir ces conversations difficiles en disant \u201cnous savons que nous ne sommes pas la meilleure marque quand il s'agit d'avoir les meilleures initiatives durables, mais nous essayons de faire mieux\u201d. Ils sont engag\u00e9s dans de nombreuses initiatives de d\u00e9veloppement durable et beaucoup de choses se passent au niveau mondial. Mon association avec eux est sp\u00e9ciale parce que ce que je d\u00e9fends depuis des ann\u00e9es peut \u00eatre diffus\u00e9 plus largement gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 notre collaboration et contribuer \u00e0 rendre la mode plus durable.<br\/>\n<br\/>C'est plus complexe que ce que nous pouvons mettre sur papier, mais si une entreprise peut le faire, peut-\u00eatre que d'autres peuvent le faire aussi. L'objectif est de r\u00e9duire notre empreinte sur la plan\u00e8te. La mani\u00e8re dont vous y parviendrez en tant que marque, entreprise individuelle, organisation, qui que vous soyez, dans n'importe quelle partie du monde, sera un message pour tout le monde que nous pouvons travailler ensemble. <strong>Le monde serait tellement meilleur si nous collaborions davantage et si nous \u00e9tions moins en comp\u00e9tition.<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Qu'esp\u00e9rez-vous accomplir en tant que nouvelle Voix d'une RE:GENERATION de PUMA ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Aishwarya : Certainement plus d'impact social, une plus grande sensibilisation num\u00e9rique afin que nous puissions diffuser nos messages de durabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle mondiale. PUMA s'adresse \u00e0 des millions, voire des milliards de personnes dans le monde, et la sensibilisation au d\u00e9veloppement durable est si importante. En tant que jeune activiste climatique, une personne passionn\u00e9e par la cr\u00e9ation du changement, cela va \u00eatre une plateforme mondiale pour moi de toucher d'autres personnes et de montrer que l'activisme de la mode est la voie de l'avenir ; la durabilit\u00e9 est la voie de l'avenir. Nous pouvons nous unir pour am\u00e9liorer les choses, car le pouvoir des gens est incroyable. Une personne multipli\u00e9e par des millions de personnes qui pensent la m\u00eame chose et font la m\u00eame chose autour de l'action climatique en termes de recherche de solutions et de durabilit\u00e9, a un impact massif. En tant que nouvelle voix de la RE:GENERATION de PUMA, en particulier de l'Inde et des pays du Sud, je pense que ce sera une grande opportunit\u00e9 pour moi de m'impliquer dans le processus et de voir les choses d'un point de vue diff\u00e9rent.<strong> J'esp\u00e8re parvenir \u00e0 la paix par le biais de la mode et de la durabilit\u00e9.<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Quels conseils donneriez-vous aux personnes qui souhaitent s'habiller de mani\u00e8re plus durable ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Aishwarya : La durabilit\u00e9 commence \u00e0 la maison. Vous pouvez faire votre part. Car m\u00eame si vous choisissez de porter \u00e0 nouveau la m\u00eame robe, la m\u00eame chemise ou le m\u00eame sari dix fois de plus, son cycle de vie se renouvelle - il ne s'arr\u00eate pas. Le fait de porter \u00e0 nouveau un v\u00eatement est, \u00e0 mon avis, le summum de la durabilit\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de mode.  \u00c0 cela s'ajoutent le recyclage et l'upcycling. <strong>Il est toujours possible de porter \u00e0 nouveau un v\u00eatement et de lui donner un air cool. Vous ne devez pas vous laisser aller \u00e0 penser que si je n'en ai pas plus, les gens penseront que je n'en ai pas plus. C'est exactement ce que vous voulez que les gens pensent, que vous n'avez pas plus. La politique est de ne pas en avoir plus. Si vous portez une robe cinq fois de plus, vous devriez en \u00eatre fi\u00e8re et c'est ce qui vous rend cool. That was the beginning of my first ever blog \\u0026ndash; and viral campaign \\u0026ndash; which combined fashion and activism and focused on how women are suffering in the world today. We kept working with brands all around the world, in India, and Corporate Social Responsibility partners and non-governmental organisations. In 2020, I joined as a UN global goal ambassador for goal ten, followed by goal five and anything focused on fashion, sustainability and activism. We kept combining and bridging the gap between these three things and kept reaching more people.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;My journey has been super challenging: when you come from a country like India, there is a lesser understanding of what fashion can do in terms of activism. Either it is activism or it is fashion, combining the two means you are doing something frivolous: there\\u0026rsquo;s a general stereotypical mindset that fashion is a frivolous industry. \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;So how can a fashion influencer talk about acid attacks, sexual assault, social injustices, fair income or labour rights?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; That was a challenging question to answer for many years. Wherever I went, people would say you can either become a person in fashion or you become a social NGO or a social worker. \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;People were not ready to accept that you could do both.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; I\\u0026rsquo;m happy that we have come to a point where fashion activism is being considered as a parallel industry to the fashion industry.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;What prompted you to become involved in sustainability?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Aishwarya: The Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh in 2013 was a wake up call for the world and for me. I remember I was studying in high school at that\\u0026nbsp; time and every news channel covered it. It claimed more than 1100 lives. We kept asking, \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;what are these factories? How can a factory just collapse?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;At that time, we were not aware of labour rights or health and working conditions, especially in the fashion industry, and so a lot of research really started then. Almost 50% of my audience or followers are women from ages of 18-26, I want someone who is 18 and following me to know that she needs to stick to her own style and not give into trends. While most of my peers my age were indulging in fashion blogging as a full-time career, I looked for ways that fashion blogging could be different. When you want to do something which is unconventional, there\\u0026rsquo;s always a fear of failing. So, I took the risk and I did what I wanted to do because I wanted to help people through my platform. In India, there are not a lot of opportunities for fashion activists and people don\\u0026rsquo;t even understand what this is. Just to create that understanding sort of changed the ball game in the past four years, and now in India today, people and brands are being more conscious.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;What I do focuses on human rights, on women and sustainability, so becoming a UN global goal ambassador is another huge achievement for me. In 2021, I was asked to chair the India Coordinator for Global Peace Accord. Coming from the Global South, being on these boards is really important because the Global South is the most susceptible to climate change. \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;We can see it happening right in front of us, it is a not distant conversation, it\\u0026rsquo;s our everyday reality.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;It is important to take lead and be unified in our fight against climate change and to put credible solutions on the table and demand more.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;With all of this, it makes me happy that people understand the value of a fashion activist to even be on these boards, especially when I was questioned on what I was trying to do with my platform in the past. There is constant guilt if you\\u0026rsquo;re indulging too much into things that are definitely harmful for other people, especially if those other people are right in front of us. That was the beginning of my first ever blog \\u0026ndash; and viral campaign \\u0026ndash; which combined fashion and activism and focused on how women are suffering in the world today. We kept working with brands all around the world, in India, and Corporate Social Responsibility partners and non-governmental organisations. In 2020, I joined as a UN global goal ambassador for goal ten, followed by goal five and anything focused on fashion, sustainability and activism. We kept combining and bridging the gap between these three things and kept reaching more people.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;My journey has been super challenging: when you come from a country like India, there is a lesser understanding of what fashion can do in terms of activism. Either it is activism or it is fashion, combining the two means you are doing something frivolous: there\\u0026rsquo;s a general stereotypical mindset that fashion is a frivolous industry. \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;So how can a fashion influencer talk about acid attacks, sexual assault, social injustices, fair income or labour rights?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; That was a challenging question to answer for many years. Wherever I went, people would say you can either become a person in fashion or you become a social NGO or a social worker. \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;People were not ready to accept that you could do both.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; I\\u0026rsquo;m happy that we have come to a point where fashion activism is being considered as a parallel industry to the fashion industry.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;What prompted you to become involved in sustainability?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Aishwarya: The Rana Plaza collapse in Bangladesh in 2013 was a wake up call for the world and for me. I remember I was studying in high school at that\\u0026nbsp; time and every news channel covered it. It claimed more than 1100 lives. We kept asking, \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;what are these factories? How can a factory just collapse?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;At that time, we were not aware of labour rights or health and working conditions, especially in the fashion industry, and so a lot of research really started then. I read a lot and I started to understand what Bangladesh and the activists in Bangladesh were advocating for, and apparently they were advocating for change for years and it wasn\\u0026rsquo;t ever covered in the news. The only thing in the news was that the factory collapsed. It took the loss of so many people for this issue to make headlines.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;My relationship with sustainability started way before I even realised what sustainability even is. It has developed into an understanding that \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;we cannot live without reducing our impact on the planet.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;Which sustainability topic is crucially important for you?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Aishwarya: As a teenager, I had an obsession with fashion magazines. I wanted the newest trends, but that quickly changed to what\\u0026rsquo;s good for me rather than the glamorisation of fast fashion. Now, \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;there\\u0026rsquo;s an understanding that we want to stick to our own style, which defines us and also reduces our overall impact on the planet.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; Don\\u0026rsquo;t blindly follow trends. Almost 50% of my audience or followers are women from ages of 18-26, I want someone who is 18 and following me to know that she needs to stick to her own style and not give into trends. While most of my peers my age were indulging in fashion blogging as a full-time career, I looked for ways that fashion blogging could be different. When you want to do something which is unconventional, there\\u0026rsquo;s always a fear of failing. So, I took the risk and I did what I wanted to do because I wanted to help people through my platform. In India, there are not a lot of opportunities for fashion activists and people don\\u0026rsquo;t even understand what this is. Just to create that understanding sort of changed the ball game in the past four years, and now in India today, people and brands are being more conscious.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;What I do focuses on human rights, on women and sustainability, so becoming a UN global goal ambassador is another huge achievement for me. In 2021, I was asked to chair the India Coordinator for Global Peace Accord. Coming from the Global South, being on these boards is really important because the Global South is the most susceptible to climate change. \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;We can see it happening right in front of us, it is a not distant conversation, it\\u0026rsquo;s our everyday reality.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;It is important to take lead and be unified in our fight against climate change and to put credible solutions on the table and demand more.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;With all of this, it makes me happy that people understand the value of a fashion activist to even be on these boards, especially when I was questioned on what I was trying to do with my platform in the past. I feel like I, alongside others, opened the space for more people globally to follow.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;What principles do you live by regarding sustainability?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Aishwarya: To be guided by my inner voice, by my own consciousness, and to live in a way that is healthy for me, not how somebody else dictates it. Sustainability for people in the Global South is completely different from the rest of the world because we live in constant guilt. We see so much around us that even though I\\u0026rsquo;m grateful for what I have got, I wonder how can I do more with the resources I have to help others. There is constant guilt if you\\u0026rsquo;re indulging too much into things that are definitely harmful for other people, especially if those other people are right in front of us. For us, the people affected is not an imaginary number \\u0026ndash; it is the people who are right next to us.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;How do you plan to use your platform with PUMA to help make the fashion world more sustainable?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Aishwarya: If you look at PUMA, they\\u0026rsquo;re ready to be more transparent, they are ready to have those tough conversations by saying \\u0026ldquo;we know we are not the best brand when it comes to having the best sustainable initiatives, but we are trying to do better.\\u0026rdquo; They are engaged in a lot of sustainability initiatives and so much is happening at a global level. My association with them is special because what I have been advocating for years can be wider spread through our collaboration, and help make fashion more sustainable.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;It\\u0026rsquo;s more complex than we can put onto paper but if one company can do it, maybe others can too. The goal is to reduce our footprint on this planet. How you do this as a brand, an individual company, organisation, whoever you are, in whatever part of the world, is going to be a message to everyone that we can work together. \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;The world would be such a better place if we were to collaborate more and compete less.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;What do you hope to achieve as PUMA\\u0026acute;s newest Voice of a RE:GENERATION?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Aishwarya: Definitely more social impact, a wider digital awareness so we can spread our messages of sustainability globally. PUMA is catering to millions, if not billions of people around the globe, and awareness of sustainability is so important. As a young climate activist, a person who is so passionate about creating change, this is going to be a global platform for me to reach other people and show that fashion activism is the way of the future; sustainability is the way of the future. That we can come together to do things better because the power of people is incredible. One person multiplied by millions of people who think the same and do the same things around climate action in terms of finding solutions and being more sustainable, has a massive impact. You can do your part. Because even if you choose to rewear the same dress or the same shirt or the same sari ten more times, it keeps its lifecycle renewed \\u0026ndash; it doesn\\u0026rsquo;t end. Re-wearing it, I feel is the ultimate sustainability in terms of fashion.\\u0026nbsp; Further to that is upcycling and recycling. \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;You can always rewear something and make it look cool. You don\\u0026rsquo;t have to indulge in the mindset that if I don\\u0026rsquo;t have more, people will think I don\\u0026rsquo;t have more. If you wear a dress five more times, you should be proud and that\\u0026rsquo;s what makes you cool.
