Que repr\u00e9sente-t-il ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Ariel : J'ai commenc\u00e9 chez PUMA en 2019, juste un an avant la pand\u00e9mie. Quand j'ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler pour PUMA, j'ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que beaucoup de nos ambassadeurs me ressemblaient : Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle, Rihanna, beaucoup de nos basketteurs, et c'est g\u00e9nial. J'ai ador\u00e9 \u00e7a. J'aime le lien avec la communaut\u00e9, c'est quelque chose qui me touche vraiment. Mais quand je suis entr\u00e9 dans les bureaux, j'ai constat\u00e9 que la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 \u00e9tait tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rente. Cela ne correspondait pas \u00e0 l'image que j'avais de l'ext\u00e9rieur. Il y avait tr\u00e8s peu de personnes noires et m\u00e9tisses dans les bureaux. Nous avons donc commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 ce que nous devions faire pour promouvoir une culture qui repr\u00e9sentait l'un de nos plus grands groupes de consommateurs.<br\/>\n<br\/>Et lorsque les injustices sociales et ces horribles meurtres ont eu lieu aux \u00c9tats-Unis, la question est devenue encore plus importante. Cela a clairement mis en \u00e9vidence la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d'un programme. Et c'est ainsi que tout a commenc\u00e9.<br\/>\n<br\/>En mai 2020, nous avons commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 constituer le groupe BBOLD. Au d\u00e9part, nous \u00e9tions huit personnes. En ao\u00fbt 2020, nous avons officiellement lanc\u00e9 le\u00a0<em>Groupe de ressources pour les employ\u00e9s<\/em>\u00a0(ERG)<em>.<\/em>\u00a0C'est le premier ERG de PUMA \u00e0 l'\u00e9chelle mondiale. C'est vraiment passionnant ! Nous sommes encore en phase de croissance et n'en sommes qu'\u00e0 nos d\u00e9buts, mais nous sommes sur la bonne voie.<br\/>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div ><br\/><strong>Combien de personnes font partie du groupe ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Ariel : Nous sommes actuellement entre 90 et 100 personnes, et je pense que 20 \u00e0 30 d'entre elles participent activement \u00e0 nos r\u00e9unions mensuelles.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Pouvez-vous citer les principaux objectifs que vous souhaitez atteindre avec le groupe ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Ariel : L'un des principaux objectifs est de veiller \u00e0 ce que le bureau, nos produits et notre travail soient \u00e9quitables. C'est une priorit\u00e9 majeure. L'autre priorit\u00e9 est de veiller \u00e0 ce que nous soyons accessibles aux personnes dont nous nous occupons, \u00e0 savoir la communaut\u00e9 noire et m\u00e9tisse. Mais il faut \u00e9galement veiller \u00e0 ce que le recrutement et le d\u00e9veloppement se fassent au sein de notre entreprise. Si nous avons des employ\u00e9s qui commencent aujourd'hui ou qui souhaitent s'inscrire, je veux m'assurer que le groupe de ressources pour les employ\u00e9s est pr\u00e9sent, afin que ces personnes se sentent \u00e0 l'aise, consid\u00e9r\u00e9es et capables de progresser au sein de l'entreprise.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Comment d\u00e9cririez-vous la culture noire aujourd'hui en trois adjectifs ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Ariel : Je vais parler principalement du point de vue am\u00e9ricain. Je pense que l'une d'entre elles est sans aucun doute la r\u00e9silience. Une autre est la beaut\u00e9. C'est aussi la diversit\u00e9, et je ne parle pas ici de mani\u00e8re figur\u00e9e, mais plut\u00f4t dans le sens \u201c dynamique \u201d. \u00c9voluer comme si nous grandissions et nous construisions constamment, ce qui est probablement une caract\u00e9ristique humaine, n'est-ce pas ? Mais en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, je pense que nous \u00e9voluons plus rapidement simplement parce que nous sommes en marge. Lorsque vous \u00eates en marge, vous devez cr\u00e9er beaucoup plus rapidement, puis les personnes au centre s'adaptent \u00e0 cette culture. On constate beaucoup de croissance dans ce domaine. Et puis il y a aussi\u00a0<strong>Juneteenth<\/strong>, que nous avons commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 c\u00e9l\u00e9brer ici \u00e0 PNA en juin. Nous voulions donner aux gens, \u00e0 tous ceux qui m'entourent, les moyens de comprendre qu'ils sont des l\u00e9gendes et qu'ils ont la possibilit\u00e9 d'\u00eatre aussi l\u00e9gendaires que, par exemple, le r\u00e9v\u00e9rend Martin Luther King Jr. La collection a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9fendue et dirig\u00e9e par des cr\u00e9ateurs noirs et vise \u00e0 donner plus de pouvoir et \u00e0 amplifier la voix de notre communaut\u00e9 noire, nos l\u00e9gendes.<br\/>\n<br\/>\u00a0<br\/>\n<br\/><strong>Y a-t-il des projets futurs du groupe PUMA BBOLD ERG dont vous souhaitez parler ?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Ariel : \u201c The Yard \u201d est la premi\u00e8re collection sous la plateforme We Are Legends. Elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e mondialement le 1er octobre 2022 sur notre application PUMA et dans notre magasin phare de New York. Depuis le 3 octobre 2022, la collection est disponible sur PUMA.com et chez certains d\u00e9taillants \u00e0 travers le monde. C'est tr\u00e8s excitant. Nous menons \u00e9galement de nombreux projets au sein de notre bureau. Je pense qu'il y a un projet vraiment g\u00e9nial en cours, appel\u00e9 <strong>S'\u00e9panouir<\/strong>, qui se situe entre le BBOLD ERG et notre ERG Mom's Squad rendant hommage aux femmes et au  Mois du patrimoine hispanique (ou latino-am\u00e9ricain) qui s'\u00e9tend du 15 septembre au 15 octobre. Il existe encore une certaine dichotomie qui doit \u00eatre clarifi\u00e9e entre les appellations hispanique et latino-am\u00e9ricaine. \u00a0Flourish organisera une s\u00e9ance de yoga un samedi avec notre Mom's Squad (ERG pour les m\u00e8res qui travaillent), anim\u00e9e par des femmes qui s'identifient comme hispaniques\/latino-am\u00e9ricaines. J'ai vraiment h\u00e2te d'y \u00eatre. La s\u00e9ance a \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e8te en seulement un jour. Samedi, 60 personnes viendront au bureau. En plus du cours de yoga, il y aura des cadeaux et une table ronde. C'est une initiative fantastique qui nous permet de rester en contact avec la communaut\u00e9. Nous organisons \u00e9galement des \u00e9v\u00e9nements pendant les f\u00eates. Un grand brunch est pr\u00e9vu, ainsi qu'une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie annuelle de remise de prix en octobre. L'ann\u00e9e prochaine, nous souhaitons nous d\u00e9velopper davantage. L'une de nos initiatives consiste \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un parcours professionnel pour nos coll\u00e8gues du secteur de la vente au d\u00e9tail afin qu'ils puissent int\u00e9grer notre monde de l'entreprise. Nous avons mis en place un mod\u00e8le en cinq points :\u00a0<em>Carri\u00e8re<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Communaut\u00e9<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Communication<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Culture<\/em>\u00a0et\u00a0<em>Commerce<\/em>. Malgr\u00e9 la pand\u00e9mie et les d\u00e9fis logistiques, nous avons r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire avancer les choses. Il y avait beaucoup de personnes en interne qui ont veill\u00e9 \u00e0 ce que ce projet ne tombe pas \u00e0 l'eau. Elles ont fait en sorte que cette initiative aboutisse. What does it stand for?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Ariel: I started at PUMA in 2019, just one year before the pandemic. When I started to work for PUMA, I realized a lot of our ambassadors represented what I look like \u2013 Meek Mill, Nipsey Hussle, Rihanna, many of our basketball athletes, and that\u2019s awesome. I loved it. I like the connection to the community, and that\u2019s really something that appeals to me. But when I walked into the office, it was very different. It didn\u2019t look like what I see from the outside. There was a lack of black and brown people in the office. So, we started putting together what we thought we needed to do to advocate for a culture that were one of our largest consumer groups.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;And when the social injustices happened and those horrific murders happened in the U.S., the issue became even more important. It made it laser focus clear, that we need some sort of program. And that\u00b4s how it got started.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;In May 2020 we started formulating the BBOLD group. In the beginning we were eight people. In August 2020 we officially launched the\u00a0\\u0026lt;em\\u0026gt;Employee Resource Group\\u0026lt;\/em\\u0026gt;\u00a0(ERG)\\u0026lt;em\\u0026gt;.\\u0026lt;\/em\\u0026gt;\u00a0It\u2019s PUMA\u00b4s first ERG globally. Really exciting! We are still growing and are still at a young stage, but on a good track.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\",\"contentRight\":\"\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;How many people are involved in the group?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Ariel: We are 90 \u2013 100 people now and I think 20 \u2013 30 of them are actively participating in our monthly meetings.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;Can you name your main goals you want to achieve with the group?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Ariel: One of the main goals is to make sure that the office, our products, and our work is equitable. That is a major focus. The other focus is to make sure we are accessible to the people who we\u2019re looking after \u2013 the black and brown community. But then also to make sure we get the recruiting and also development within our business. If we have employees here that are starting today or want to matriculate, I want to make sure that the employee resource group is present, so those people feel comfortable, seen, and able to elevate within the company.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;How would you describe black culture today with three adjectives?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Ariel:I\u2019ll speak mainly from the American perspective. I think one for sure is\u00a0resiliency. Another one is\u00a0beautiful. It\u2019s also\u00a0colorful, and I don\u2019t mean that in a pun way, obviously, but more in a \u201cvibrant\u201d way.\u00a0Evolving\u00a0like we\u2019re consistently growing and building ourselves, which is probably a humanity thing, right? But in general, I think we are quicker to evolve just because we\u2019re on the fringe. When you\u2019re the fringe people you have to create a lot faster and then the people in the middle adapt that culture. You see a lot of the growth out there. So when I use the word evolving, I don\u2019t mean it necessarily in the evolution of mankind, I just mean it in the sense Often when we celebrate Black culture, we look to the past. We Are Legends shines the light on both the legacy of this design collective and the legends within their own communities.\u00a0Originally, the idea was to look for something in the States for Black History Month.\u00a0\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;Black History Month\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\u00a0is in February. And then also there\u2019s\u00a0\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;Juneteenth\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;, which is in June that we have started to observe here at PNA. WE wanted to empower people, everyone around me to make sure they understand they are legends and have the opportunity to be as legendary as, say a, Rev. Dr Martin Luther King Jr. The collection was championed and led by black designers and strives to empower and amplify the voices of our Black community \u2013 our legends.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\u00a0\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;Any future projects of the PUMA BBOLD ERG Group you want to talk about?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Ariel: \u201cThe Yard\u201d is the\u00a0first\u00a0collection under the We Are Legends platform. It released globally on\u00a0October 1, 2022, on our PUMA app and\u00a0at\u00a0the\u00a0New York City\u00a0Flagship store.\u00a0Since\u00a0October 3, 2022, the collection is available\u00a0on\u00a0PUMA.com and select retailers worldwide.\u00a0That\u2019s very exciting. We also do a lot of projects within our office. I think there\u2019s a really great project going on called \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;Flourish\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;, which is between the BBOLD ERG and our ERG Mom\u00b4s Squad honoring women and \u00a0Hispanic Heritage Month (or Latin) which spans from September 15th to October 15th. There\u2019s still a certain dichotomy in that that needs to be delineated between Hispanic or LatinX naming. \u00a0Flourish will host a Yoga session on a Saturday with our Mom\u00b4s Squad (ERG for working mom\u00b4s), led by women that identify as Hispanic\/LatinX. I am really looking forward to it. The class sold out in just one day. On Saturday, 60 people will come to the office. In addition to the yoga class, there will be gifts, and a panel discussion. It\u2019s a fantastic initiative to make sure we are connected to the community. We also have our holiday events. There is a big brunch planned, coupled with an annual awards ceremony in October. Next year we are looking to expand further. One of our initiatives is to build a career pipeline for our teammates out in the retail field into our corporate world. I loved it. I like the connection to the community, and that\u2019s really something that appeals to me. But when I walked into the office, it was very different. It didn\u2019t look like what I see from the outside. There was a lack of black and brown people in the office. So, we started putting together what we thought we needed to do to advocate for a culture that were one of our largest consumer groups.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;And when the social injustices happened and those horrific murders happened in the U.S., the issue became even more important. It made it laser focus clear, that we need some sort of program. And that\u00b4s how it got started.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;In May 2020 we started formulating the BBOLD group. In the beginning we were eight people. In August 2020 we officially launched the\u00a0\\u0026lt;em\\u0026gt;Employee Resource Group\\u0026lt;\/em\\u0026gt;\u00a0(ERG)\\u0026lt;em\\u0026gt;.\\u0026lt;\/em\\u0026gt;\u00a0It\u2019s PUMA\u00b4s first ERG globally. Really exciting! We are still growing and are still at a young stage, but on a good track.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\",\"contentRight\":\"\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;How many people are involved in the group?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Ariel: We are 90 \u2013 100 people now and I think 20 \u2013 30 of them are actively participating in our monthly meetings.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;Can you name your main goals you want to achieve with the group?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Ariel: One of the main goals is to make sure that the office, our products, and our work is equitable. That is a major focus. The other focus is to make sure we are accessible to the people who we\u2019re looking after \u2013 the black and brown community. But then also to make sure we get the recruiting and also development within our business. If we have employees here that are starting today or want to matriculate, I want to make sure that the employee resource group is present, so those people feel comfortable, seen, and able to elevate within the company.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;How would you describe black culture today with three adjectives?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Ariel:I\u2019ll speak mainly from the American perspective. I think one for sure is\u00a0resiliency. Another one is\u00a0beautiful. It\u2019s also\u00a0colorful, and I don\u2019t mean that in a pun way, obviously, but more in a \u201cvibrant\u201d way.\u00a0Evolving\u00a0like we\u2019re consistently growing and building ourselves, which is probably a humanity thing, right? But in general, I think we are quicker to evolve just because we\u2019re on the fringe. When you\u2019re the fringe people you have to create a lot faster and then the people in the middle adapt that culture. You see a lot of the growth out there. So when I use the word evolving, I don\u2019t mean it necessarily in the evolution of mankind, I just mean it in the sense We also do a lot of projects within our office. I think there\u2019s a really great project going on called \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;Flourish\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;, which is between the BBOLD ERG and our ERG Mom\u00b4s Squad honoring women and \u00a0Hispanic Heritage Month (or Latin) which spans from September 15th to October 15th. There\u2019s still a certain dichotomy in that that needs to be delineated between Hispanic or LatinX naming. \u00a0Flourish will host a Yoga session on a Saturday with our Mom\u00b4s Squad (ERG for working mom\u00b4s), led by women that identify as Hispanic\/LatinX. I am really looking forward to it. The class sold out in just one day. On Saturday, 60 people will come to the office. In addition to the yoga class, there will be gifts, and a panel discussion. It\u2019s a fantastic initiative to make sure we are connected to the community. We also have our holiday events. There is a big brunch planned, coupled with an annual awards ceremony in October. Next year we are looking to expand further. One of our initiatives is to build a career pipeline for our teammates out in the retail field into our corporate world.
