Au cours de l'\u00e9t\u00e9 1972, le monde sportif tout entier avait les yeux tourn\u00e9s vers Munich, o\u00f9 se d\u00e9roulaient les Jeux olympiques. Mais les fans et les athl\u00e8tes n'\u00e9taient pas les seuls \u00e0 attendre cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement avec impatience. Dans cet article, nous souhaitons revenir sur le pass\u00e9 et mettre en lumi\u00e8re une innovation introduite lors des Jeux : la chaussure \u00e0 griffes PUMA. La raison de ce nouveau d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9tait que les comp\u00e9titions de course \u00e0 pied des Jeux olympiques d'\u00e9t\u00e9 de 1968 se d\u00e9roulaient pour la premi\u00e8re fois sur des pistes synth\u00e9tiques (pistes en tartan). La TAHOE n'\u00e9tait pas seulement la premi\u00e8re chaussure de sport dot\u00e9e d'une fermeture velcro, mais elle comportait \u00e9galement 68 pointes dispos\u00e9es en rang\u00e9es sur la partie avant de la semelle. Bien que ces pointes ne mesurent que quatre millim\u00e8tres de long, elles offraient une bien meilleure traction sur les nouvelles pistes synth\u00e9tiques.<br><br>Nous avons envoy\u00e9 une collection de ces chaussures au camp d'entra\u00eenement des coureurs am\u00e9ricains et les r\u00e9sultats ont \u00e9t\u00e9 impressionnants : non seulement les coureurs se sont imm\u00e9diatement sentis \u00e0 l'aise avec la chaussure, mais ils ont \u00e9galement battu plusieurs records du monde avec. Cependant, l'IAAF (Association internationale des f\u00e9d\u00e9rations d'athl\u00e9tisme) a d\u00e9battu de la question de savoir si les fines aiguilles de la chaussure \u00e0 brosse pouvaient \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme des pointes. Selon les r\u00e8gles de l'IAAF de l'\u00e9poque, toujours en vigueur aujourd'hui, les chaussures de course comportant plus de onze pointes n'\u00e9taient pas autoris\u00e9es. Les pointes m\u00e9talliques courtes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9es et consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme des pointes, ce qui a conduit \u00e0 l'interdiction de la chaussure avant le d\u00e9but des Jeux olympiques d'\u00e9t\u00e9.<br><\/div>\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<!-- row text single -->\n<div class=\"gradientnone\">\n<div class=\"row rowSingleColumnWide spacing\">\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div class=\"textStyle_quote\" ><p>La chaussure \u00e0 griffes PUMA, d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e en coop\u00e9ration avec BASF, est un autre jalon dans l'histoire de la chaussure de sport.<\/p><strong><br><br>Helmut Fischer, fondateur des archives PUMA et connu sous le nom de Mr.<\/strong><\/div>\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<!-- row text single -->\n<div class=\"gradientnone\">\n<div class=\"row rowSingleColumnWide spacing\">\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div class=\"textStyle_2b\" ><span class=\"textStyle_intro\">COOP\u00c9RATION AVEC LE BASF<\/span><br><br>Outre le nombre limit\u00e9 de pointes, d'autres aspects devaient \u00eatre pris en compte lors du d\u00e9veloppement de chaussures de course adapt\u00e9es, comme l'usure des pistes synth\u00e9tiques caus\u00e9e par les pointes. Pour trouver des solutions et d\u00e9velopper un successeur am\u00e9lior\u00e9 \u00e0 la chaussure \u201cBrush Spike\u201d, Armin Dassler a initi\u00e9 un partenariat avec un sp\u00e9cialiste reconnu des mati\u00e8res plastiques : BASF AG. Apr\u00e8s des analyses effectu\u00e9es par diff\u00e9rents instituts de test et de sport, tels que l'Institut de biom\u00e9canique et d'orthop\u00e9die de l'Universit\u00e9 allemande du sport de Cologne ou l'Institut de physiologie de l'Universit\u00e9 Johannes Gutenberg de Mayence, une nouvelle semelle innovante a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e en utilisant le plastique Ultramid de BASF et, \u00e0 la place des pointes habituelles, des griffes oppos\u00e9es et d\u00e9cal\u00e9es en Ultramid ont \u00e9t\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9es dans la semelle. Et quelle serait l'ampleur de l'usure ? Pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces questions, BASF s'est adress\u00e9e \u00e0 l'AWETA qui, sous la direction de l'ing\u00e9nieur Erich Strickle, a mis au point un dispositif d'essai totalement nouveau : le \u201ccoureur artificiel\u201d. Aliment\u00e9es par un moteur de trois chevaux, les \u201cjambes\u201d de l'appareil pouvaient \u00eatre actionn\u00e9es \u00e0 des vitesses r\u00e9glables en continu. Pour enregistrer la distance parcourue par le \u201ccoureur artificiel\u201d, la \u201cpiste\u201d \u00e9tait con\u00e7ue pour \u00eatre mobile. La chaussure \u00e0 griffes a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e avec succ\u00e8s lors des comp\u00e9titions d'athl\u00e9tisme allemandes qui se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9es avant les Jeux olympiques. Selon BASF, l'\u00e9quipe olympique nig\u00e9riane a tenu son camp d'entra\u00eenement \u00e0 Hemsbach et a profit\u00e9 de l'occasion pour tester la chaussure \u00e0 griffes. To find solutions and develop an improved successor to the \\u0026ldquo;Brush Spike\\u0026rdquo; shoe, Armin Dassler initiated a partnership with a proven specialist for plastics: BASF AG. Following analyses by various testing and sporting institutes, such as the Institute for Biomechanics and Orthopaedics at the German Sport University Cologne or the Institute of Physiology at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, an innovative new sole was developed using the BASF plastic Ultramid and, instead of the usual spikes, opposing and offset claws made from Ultramid were integrated into the sole. To find solutions and develop an improved successor to the \\u0026ldquo;Brush Spike\\u0026rdquo; shoe, Armin Dassler initiated a partnership with a proven specialist for plastics: BASF AG. Following analyses by various testing and sporting institutes, such as the Institute for Biomechanics and Orthopaedics at the German Sport University Cologne or the Institute of Physiology at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, an innovative new sole was developed using the BASF plastic Ultramid and, instead of the usual spikes, opposing and offset claws made from Ultramid were integrated into the sole. To find the answers to these questions, BASF approached the AWETA, which, under the lead of engineer Erich Strickle, developed a completely new testing device: the \\u0026ldquo;artificial runner.\\u0026rdquo; Powered with a three-horsepower engine, the \\u0026ldquo;legs\\u0026rdquo; of the device could be operated at continuously adjustable speeds. The Claw Shoe was successfully used in the German athletics competitions that took place in the run-up to the Olympic Games.
