Si tenemos en cuenta que se necesitan unos 12 \u00e1rboles para una tonelada de cart\u00f3n, al reducir el peso de las cajas de zapatos hemos salvado 33600 \u00e1rboles: m\u00e1s \u00e1rboles que en el Central Park de Nueva York.\nPero incluso vamos un paso m\u00e1s all\u00e1, ya que las cajas de cart\u00f3n est\u00e1n fabricadas con m\u00e1s de 95 % (en peso) de cart\u00f3n reciclado.\nComo parte de nuestra estrategia 10FOR25, tambi\u00e9n eliminaremos las bolsas de pl\u00e1stico para el consumidor de nuestras tiendas y, siempre que sea posible, haremos que nuestros suministros sean m\u00e1s sostenibles.\nNuestras bolsas de pl\u00e1stico destinadas al consumidor ya est\u00e1n fabricadas con contenido reciclado 80%, pero en 2021 reduciremos su uso a la mitad. Aunque ya hemos eliminado las bolsas de pl\u00e1stico para el consumidor de nuestras tiendas propias y operadas en pa\u00edses como China e India, dejaremos de usar este tipo de bolsas en cualquier parte del mundo para 2023.\nEn su lugar, PUMA solo utilizar\u00e1 bolsas de papel reciclado y con certificaci\u00f3n FSC en sus tiendas, independientemente de si compras en Herzogenaurach, en la Quinta Avenida o en Krasnoyarsk.\nEl cambio a alternativas m\u00e1s sostenibles para nuestros compradores no ha estado exento de dificultades, como explica Martina Lagler, jefa de equipo de Desarrollo de Negocio Minorista Global.\n\"En general, el papel reciclado no es tan duradero como el pl\u00e1stico, por lo que la fase de desarrollo fue todo un reto y estoy muy contenta de que por fin podamos ofrecer una bolsa de tan alta calidad. Tambi\u00e9n tuvimos que asegurarnos de contar con los documentos pertinentes para demostrar la plena trazabilidad a lo largo de la cadena de suministro de producci\u00f3n del material y su contenido reciclado\", recuerda Martina.\nY a\u00fan hay m\u00e1s en nuestras tiendas: Nuestros clientes que quieran envolver sus compras de PUMA para alguien especial, recibir\u00e1n pronto tambi\u00e9n una bolsa de regalo fabricada con papel reciclado y certificado FSC. Las bolsas que PUMA utiliza para el env\u00edo de pedidos online tambi\u00e9n estar\u00e1n hechas con pl\u00e1stico reciclado 100% y hemos encontrado alternativas m\u00e1s sostenibles para las perchas y los \u00e1rboles de zapatos de nuestras tiendas.\nOtras mejoras en el embalaje pueden resultar menos obvias para los clientes de PUMA, ya que s\u00f3lo se utilizan para mantener nuestros productos secos y limpios durante el transporte. Pero las bolsas de polietileno que protegen nuestra ropa y accesorios de camino a la tienda y en los almacenes tambi\u00e9n se fabricar\u00e1n exclusivamente con polietileno reciclado para la primavera\/verano de 2022.
