Como ya me gustaba el thrifting, <strong>el upcycling parec\u00eda un paso natural<\/strong> y es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil, porque no necesitas construir prendas. Puedes coger unos vaqueros, abrirlos, ponerles parches y coserlos.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo empez\u00f3 a coser?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Adrew:<strong> Me inici\u00e9 en la costura a trav\u00e9s de las redes sociales<\/strong>, Siguiendo cuentas como la de Imran Potato, que realmente me inspir\u00f3. Lo que m\u00e1s me llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n fueron sus prendas de dise\u00f1o pirata: mu\u00f1ecos de beb\u00e9 con estampados de Gucci y pantalones con tiras \u00fanicas. Estoy constantemente <strong>lluvia de ideas y conspiraci\u00f3n<\/strong> el pr\u00f3ximo movimiento de mi marca y trabajando en<strong> crear una identidad de marca fuerte<\/strong>. No se trata solo de hacer piezas \u00fanicas recicladas; quiero desarrollar una historia de marca cohesiva y ampliarla es mi objetivo actual.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong>\u00bfY c\u00f3mo encaja su participaci\u00f3n en la iniciativa Voice of a Re:Generation de Puma con su trayectoria personal y sus valores hasta la fecha?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Andrew:\u00a0<strong>La sostenibilidad est\u00e1 en el centro de mi marca personal<\/strong>. A lo largo de mi carrera en la creaci\u00f3n de contenidos de v\u00eddeo, he colaborado con diversas marcas en proyectos de sostenibilidad, desde Levi's y Dickies hasta otras inesperadas, no relacionadas con la moda, como Sprite y Honda. Las Voces de un proyecto RE:GENERATION con PUMA para m\u00ed es una <strong>oportunidad \u00fanica a largo plazo<\/strong> que me da <strong>visi\u00f3n de la sostenibilidad a escala mundial y empresarial<\/strong> en la industria de la moda. Qu\u00e9 aprendi\u00f3 all\u00ed sobre el programa RE:FIBRE de PUMA?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Andrew: Realmente me abri\u00f3 los ojos a <strong>la enorme cantidad de investigaci\u00f3n y tecnolog\u00eda<\/strong> implicados en RE:FIBRE y la moda sostenible. No se trata solo de coser ropa; hay laboratorios en toda regla que trabajan en todo, desde la creaci\u00f3n de fibras hasta la descomposici\u00f3n y eliminaci\u00f3n de colores mediante procesos qu\u00edmicos. <strong>Es m\u00e1s de lo que parece: producir moda sostenible no consiste s\u00f3lo en ensamblar piezas, sino en todo un viaje.<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 fue lo m\u00e1s memorable de su visita a las f\u00e1bricas RE:FIBRE? \u00bfPuede compartir alg\u00fan momento que haya influido significativamente en su visi\u00f3n de la sostenibilidad o haya modificado su perspectiva? <\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Andrew: Un momento destacado del proyecto fue <strong>Ver c\u00f3mo el tejido cobraba vida: ver c\u00f3mo se imprim\u00edan y sublimaban mis dise\u00f1os fue un momento de orgullo y una experiencia memorable.<\/strong>. Tambi\u00e9n fue una locura ver c\u00f3mo se tej\u00eda con 50 hilos alimentados por m\u00e1quinas que hac\u00edan un ruido ensordecedor incluso con tapones para los o\u00eddos. Las redes sociales son cruciales para llegar a los j\u00f3venes, pero los periodos de atenci\u00f3n son muy cortos. Por eso, entender la necesidad de <strong>hacer que la sostenibilidad sea atractiva<\/strong>, y evitar los contenidos aburridos e interminables. Las series de contenido social como esa o el podcast de informes PUMA RE:GEN hacen que una gran cantidad de informaci\u00f3n sea mucho m\u00e1s digerible. Es <strong>sigue siendo un reto<\/strong> para que la gente se preocupe por la sostenibilidad, pero creo que <strong>vamos por buen camino.<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo cree que influyentes como usted pueden contribuir a fomentar una mayor transparencia en la industria de la moda?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Andrew: Es dif\u00edcil porque en el mundo de la moda hay personas influyentes en ambos bandos: los que defienden la sostenibilidad y los que promueven la moda r\u00e1pida. <strong>Aunque la industria en general se est\u00e1 orientando m\u00e1s hacia la sostenibilidad,<\/strong> potencias mundiales como Shein siguen destacando. <strong>El reto reside en c\u00f3mo los influencers, como yo, contribuimos a la transparencia en la moda<\/strong>. Como influencer sostenible, creo en la colaboraci\u00f3n con marcas que son <strong>realmente comprometidos con la sostenibilidad<\/strong> y evitar las asociaciones \u00fanicamente por motivos econ\u00f3micos ayuda a influir en la narrativa general de las redes sociales. Es una pregunta delicada, pero yo dir\u00eda que, en general, es necesario... <strong>arrojar m\u00e1s luz sobre lo que se est\u00e1 haciendo bien en la industria de la moda por parte de los actores mundiales.<\/strong>.<br\/>\n<\/div>\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- row two columns -->\n<div class=\"row rowTwoColumnsWide spacing\">\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div ><br\/><strong>H\u00e1blenos del proceso creativo de su colecci\u00f3n Closed Loop y de c\u00f3mo influy\u00f3 su visita a las f\u00e1bricas.<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Quer\u00eda <strong>encarnan el proceso RE:FIBRE<\/strong> El estilo patchwork de los pantalones simboliza los recortes y las prendas defectuosas. Los pantalones cortos se inspiran en <strong>Calentadores de baloncesto vintage holgados\u2019.\u2019<\/strong> silueta para apoyarse en las ra\u00edces deportivas de PUMA. Originalmente estaba planeando unos pantalones rasgados, pero opt\u00e9 por un <strong>transformaci\u00f3n de cremalleras para reflejar el proceso RE:FIBRE<\/strong> que transforma lo viejo en nuevo. Los elementos del patchwork y las tiras de tela superpuestas imitan el hilo que se teje y enlazan con el aspecto de la sostenibilidad. Mi marca se inclina hacia <strong>paleta de colores rojo, verde y azul<\/strong> y la capacidad que ofrecen estos colores para crear nuevas tonalidades.  Incorporamos el <strong>naranja<\/strong> color para alinearse con <strong>Campa\u00f1a Thread the Loop de PUMA<\/strong> y tambi\u00e9n incorporamos la ic\u00f3nica imagen del ojo, haciendo referencia en <strong>Lentes de contacto PUMA de Linford Christie<\/strong> y el <strong>FOREVER.BETTER. logotipo.<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/><strong>As\u00ed que has utilizado tejidos reciclados y retales de tu ropa de segunda mano para dise\u00f1ar tus prendas. Cu\u00e1les fueron los retos de utilizar retales y tejidos RE:FIBRE en tus dise\u00f1os? <\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Andrew: No suelo trabajar con poli\u00e9ster, as\u00ed que <strong>Trabajar con un material fino y el\u00e1stico supuso un cambio con respecto a mis habituales tejidos pesados y no el\u00e1sticos, como la tela vaquera y los acolchados.<\/strong> Tuve algunos retos iniciales - <strong>ajustar la configuraci\u00f3n de la m\u00e1quina, ajustar la tensi\u00f3n del hilo<\/strong>, Pero despu\u00e9s de unas cuantas pruebas y de confeccionar un par de pantalones cortos de prueba, le cog\u00ed el truco. <strong>Adaptarse a un material diferente<\/strong> a la que no estoy muy acostumbrado fue la parte m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil de este proyecto para m\u00ed.<br\/>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div ><br\/><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es tu t\u00e9cnica favorita para utilizar tus productos de upcycling?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Andrew:\u00a0<strong>Patchwork<\/strong> ocupa un lugar especial para m\u00ed, <strong>se remonta a mis ra\u00edces cuando empec\u00e9<\/strong>. Hay tanto que remendar,<strong> ofrece varios estilos<\/strong> desde cortes en bruto desgastados, como los de aqu\u00ed, hasta patchwork de acabado limpio. Es un elemento din\u00e1mico y significativo de mi trabajo y encaja con mi marca porque <strong>con el patchwork la creatividad es infinita<\/strong>, ya sean parches de coraz\u00f3n como los de los pantalones de mi novia u otros dise\u00f1os \u00fanicos.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong><em>S<\/em><\/strong><strong>o puede contarnos m\u00e1s sobre su marca Vivid Visions. \u00bfC\u00f3mo, cu\u00e1ndo y por qu\u00e9 surgi\u00f3?<\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Andrew: Empec\u00e9 en 2017 con <strong>\u201cAmenaza de alegr\u00eda\u201d.\u201d<\/strong> una marca de streetwear, pero le faltaba consistencia y qued\u00f3 un poco en segundo plano. En 2019, me met\u00ed de lleno en el upcycling, vendiendo dise\u00f1os bajo el mismo nombre. Al darme cuenta de que <strong>el nombre no encajaba con mi visi\u00f3n, cambi\u00e9 a Vivid Visions en 2021,<\/strong> inicialmente sin una identidad de marca definida. El a\u00f1o pasado, la marca gan\u00f3 tracci\u00f3n en Instagram, alcanzando los 100.000 seguidores. Como <strong>Actualmente soy un equipo de un solo hombre para piezas de uno-de-uno<\/strong>, Estoy <strong>explorar la escalabilidad<\/strong> con los fabricantes, manteniendo al mismo tiempo la sostenibilidad. Since I was already into thrifting, \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;upcycling seemed like a natural step\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; and it\\u0026rsquo;s easier to get into, because you don\\u0026rsquo;t need to fully construct garments. You can just take jeans, open them up and like put patches on them and sew them together.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;How did you get into sewing?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Adrew:\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt; I got into sewing through social media\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;, following accounts like Imran Potato who really inspired me. What caught my eye initially were their bootleg designer pieces\\u0026mdash;baby dolls with Gucci prints and pants with unique strips. In the last seven months, I\\u0026rsquo;ve been on a health kick with my girlfriend Paige. A big part of my career is content so when I get back \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;I dive into content creation\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; and editing videos. If I don\\u0026rsquo;t have any specific projects to work on, \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;I sew quilt hoodies for my brand VIVID VISIONS\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;. These are my main product so I can whip those up really fast just because I\\u0026rsquo;ve made probably thousands at this point. Can you share a moment that significantly influenced your views on sustainability or altered your perspective? \\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Andrew: One standout moment during the project was \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;seeing the fabric come to life \\u0026mdash; watching my designs being printed and sublimated was a really proud moment and memorable experience\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;. Seeing the fabric being knitted together with 50 strings fed into machines that created a deafening noise even with earplugs was also pretty crazy. What kind of altered my perspective or something we often forget when talking about sustainability is that\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt; it\\u0026rsquo;s not only about sustainable products but also about the people who work at the factories.\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; On site, we discussed working conditions and wages and first I was surprised at the wage levels, but one guy talked about how much his lifestyle improved due to sustainability measures in place. Since I was already into thrifting, \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;upcycling seemed like a natural step\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; and it\\u0026rsquo;s easier to get into, because you don\\u0026rsquo;t need to fully construct garments. You can just take jeans, open them up and like put patches on them and sew them together.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;How did you get into sewing?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Adrew:\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt; I got into sewing through social media\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;, following accounts like Imran Potato who really inspired me. What caught my eye initially were their bootleg designer pieces\\u0026mdash;baby dolls with Gucci prints and pants with unique strips. In the last seven months, I\\u0026rsquo;ve been on a health kick with my girlfriend Paige. A big part of my career is content so when I get back \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;I dive into content creation\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt; and editing videos. If I don\\u0026rsquo;t have any specific projects to work on, \\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;I sew quilt hoodies for my brand VIVID VISIONS\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;. These are my main product so I can whip those up really fast just because I\\u0026rsquo;ve made probably thousands at this point. Seeing the fabric being knitted together with 50 strings fed into machines that created a deafening noise even with earplugs was also pretty crazy.
