En una carrera muy aclamada, etiquetada como \u2018la mejor carrera de la historia del atletismo\u2019, se dijo que el noruego de 25 a\u00f1os no hab\u00eda batido su propio r\u00e9cord mundial, sino que lo hab\u00eda destruido. Entre el r\u00e9cord mundial de 47,45s de Edwin Moses en 1977 y el r\u00e9cord mundial de 46,70s de Karsten de julio de 2021, el r\u00e9cord de los 400 metros vallas hab\u00eda progresado 75 cent\u00e9simas de segundo. Luego, en una sola carrera en Tokio, Warholm mejor\u00f3 el r\u00e9cord mundial en 76 cent\u00e9simas, una marca in\u00e9dita en 44 a\u00f1os. En los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de R\u00edo 2016, el medallista de oro Kerron Clement corri\u00f3 en 47.73s y en los Campeonatos del Mundo de Doha 2019, Karsten gan\u00f3 en 47.42s. Con un palmar\u00e9s en el que ha participado en los 100m y 4x100m en los Campeonatos del Mundo de 2015, en los 100m, 200m y 4x100m en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de 2016, en los 100m y 200m en los Campeonatos del Mundo de 2019 y en los 100m, 200m y 4x100m en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Tokio, Andr\u00e9 es el velocista m\u00e1s regular del mundo.<br\/>\n<br\/>Estadounidense de 27 a\u00f1os <strong>Molly Seidel<\/strong> se convirti\u00f3 en la tercera mujer estadounidense en ganar una medalla en marat\u00f3n en unos Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos, al terminar en un tiempo de 2:27:46, habiendo corrido s\u00f3lo dos maratones antes de competir en los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Tokio.<br\/>\n<br\/>Por primera vez en el atletismo en los \u00faltimos 113 a\u00f1os, el atleta de PUMA <strong>Gianmarco Tamberi <\/strong>y Mutaz Essa Barshim decidieron compartir la medalla de oro en salto de altura masculino, todo un s\u00edmbolo de deportividad.<br\/>\n<br\/>Pertiguista <strong>Mondo Duplantis<\/strong> consigui\u00f3 su primer t\u00edtulo ol\u00edmpico al superar los 6,02 metros para ganar el oro, pero tambi\u00e9n intent\u00f3 6,19 metros, un cent\u00edmetro por encima de su mejor marca anterior de 6,18 metros, el actual r\u00e9cord mundial.<br\/>\n<br\/>Jamaica <strong>Pergamino Hansle<\/strong> sorprendi\u00f3 al mundo en una final de 110 metros vallas incre\u00edblemente re\u00f1ida al imponerse al indiscutible favorito, Grant Holloway, que no hab\u00eda perdido una carrera de vallas desde agosto del a\u00f1o pasado. En las pruebas ol\u00edmpicas de Estados Unidos, Holloway s\u00f3lo perdi\u00f3 el r\u00e9cord mundial de los 110 metros por una cent\u00e9sima de segundo, pero en Tokio, Hansle le pas\u00f3 por encima para ganar el oro en 13.04s, etiquetado como \u201cuna de las sorpresas de los Juegos\u201d.<br\/>\n<br\/>Con un salto de 17,98 metros, el atleta portugu\u00e9s de PUMA y debutante ol\u00edmpico <strong>Pedro Pichardo<\/strong> gan\u00f3 el oro en triple salto, estableciendo un nuevo r\u00e9cord para Portugal, y conquist\u00f3 la primera medalla de oro para su pa\u00eds de cualquier tipo desde 2008 y la quinta de la historia.<br\/>\n<br\/>Las velocistas de los 100 metros lisos de la carrera patrocinada por PUMA <strong>Asociaci\u00f3n Ol\u00edmpica de Jamaica <\/strong>consiguieron el oro (Elaine Thompson-Herah), la plata (Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce) y el bronce (Shericka Jackson), habiendo ocupado 10 de los 12 puestos del podio desde los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Pek\u00edn 2008.<br\/>\n<\/div>\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- row text single -->\n<div class=\"gradientnone\">\n<div class=\"row rowSingleColumnWide spacing\">\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div class=\"textStyle_quote\" ><p>Se trata de los atletas, de su preparaci\u00f3n f\u00edsica y mental y de su capacidad en el momento clave para dar lo mejor de s\u00ed mismos. In this one race, three hurdlers ran under 47 seconds, with the silver medalist Rai Benjamin breaking Karsten\u2019s old world record, running 46.17s. At the Rio Olympics in 2016, gold medalist Kerron Clement ran 47.73s and in the 2019 Doha World Championships, Karsten won in 47.42s.
