No se trata de un solo factor. Hay que entrenar de varias maneras y cubrir todos los aspectos.<br><br><br><span class=\"interviewq\"><strong>\u00bfC\u00f3mo es una sesi\u00f3n de entrenamiento t\u00edpica para usted?<\/strong><br><\/span>En realidad, no hay una sesi\u00f3n t\u00edpica. Me entreno en la pista o en el gimnasio. Depende de la \u00e9poca del a\u00f1o y de lo que estemos trabajando. En la pista, puedo trabajar todo, desde la resistencia hasta cualquier aspecto t\u00e9cnico de mi carrera: la salida, la fase de impulso, la transici\u00f3n, tanto en los 100 metros como en los 200 metros. En el gimnasio, acondicionamiento general, fuerza y potencia.<br><br><br><span class=\"interviewq\"><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1ntas veces al a\u00f1o se entrena?<\/strong><br><\/span>Entreno once meses al a\u00f1o, seis d\u00edas a la semana. Normalmente por la ma\u00f1ana y luego otra vez por la tarde. Es mucho trabajo.<br><br><br><span class=\"interviewq\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 aporta el entrenamiento aparte de las capacidades f\u00edsicas?<\/strong><br><\/span>Entrenar te da confianza y esto ayuda a tu estado de \u00e1nimo. S\u00e9 que si estoy en buena forma, va a ser muy dif\u00edcil vencerme. Esta confianza es muy importante para rendir bien.<br><br><br><span class=\"interviewq\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tipo de obst\u00e1culos ha tenido que afrontar y superar para alcanzar sus objetivos?<\/strong><br><\/span>En el deporte de \u00e9lite, las lesiones son siempre lo que m\u00e1s puede frenarte. Llevamos el cuerpo al m\u00e1ximo y a veces nos duelen o nos lesionamos los m\u00fasculos o las articulaciones. Yo he tenido varias lesiones a lo largo de mi carrera, pero afortunadamente tengo un buen entrenador y un buen equipo que me ayudan a volver a lo m\u00e1s alto.<br><br><\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div ><span class=\"interviewq\"><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es su consejo para alguien que lucha por encontrar motivaci\u00f3n para alcanzar sus objetivos?<\/strong><br><\/span>Tienes que encontrar esa cosa que sabes que te va a motivar. Puede que no te guste entrenar, por ejemplo, pero te tiene que encantar competir y ganar. Si quieres estas cosas, tienes que estar decidido y entrenar duro.<br><br><br><span class=\"interviewq\"><strong>\u00bfHa cambiado mucho la formaci\u00f3n en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os?<\/strong><br><\/span>Cuando empec\u00e9 a correr de ni\u00f1o, era divertido. Se me daba bien, as\u00ed que simplemente lo hac\u00eda. No ten\u00eda que entrenar mucho para ganar carreras. Cuando me hice mayor, me di cuenta de que ten\u00eda que cuidar m\u00e1s mi cuerpo.<br><br>Ahora la dieta, el descanso y la recuperaci\u00f3n son m\u00e1s importantes que hace unos a\u00f1os.<br><br><br><span class=\"interviewq\"><strong>\u00bfCu\u00e1l es su mayor objetivo?<\/strong><br><\/span>Bueno, mi mayor objetivo es convertirme en el m\u00e1s grande. Para eso trabajo. Quiero que se me recuerde como un gran deportista, tener un lugar en la historia.<br><br><br><span class=\"interviewq\"><strong>\u00bfQu\u00e9 otro atleta le inspira a ser mejor?<\/strong><br><\/span>Siempre he admirado a Kevin Garnett (jugador de baloncesto estadounidense), porque es un jugador que, gane o pierda, lo da todo e inspira a los que le rodean para que mejoren su juego. Tambi\u00e9n a mi mentor y entrenador Glen Mills. Sol\u00eda decirme: \u201cTodo el mundo en el circuito, todo el mundo en los Campeonatos ya son atletas con talento. It depends\\u0026nbsp;on the time of year and what we are working on.\\u0026nbsp;On the track, it can be working on everything\\u0026nbsp;from endurance to any technical aspect of\\u0026nbsp;my race \\u0026ndash; the start, the drive phase, the transition\\u0026nbsp;for both the 100m and 200m. In the gym, it\\u0026rsquo;s\\u0026nbsp;general conditioning, strength and power.\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;span class=\\u0026quot;interviewq\\u0026quot;\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;How often do you train in a year?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;\/span\\u0026gt;I train for eleven months of the year, six days a\\u0026nbsp;week. Normally in the morning and then again in\\u0026nbsp;the afternoon. It\\u0026rsquo;s a lot of work.\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;span class=\\u0026quot;interviewq\\u0026quot;\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;What does training do for you other than the\\u0026nbsp;physical abilities?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;\/span\\u0026gt;Training gives you confidence and this helps your\\u0026nbsp;state of mind. I know if I\\u0026rsquo;m in good shape, it\\u0026rsquo;s going\\u0026nbsp;to be very hard to beat me. This confidence is\\u0026nbsp;very important in performing well.\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;span class=\\u0026quot;interviewq\\u0026quot;\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;What kind of obstacles have you faced and\\u0026nbsp;overcome to achieve your goals?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;\/span\\u0026gt;In elite sport, injury is always the thing that can\\u0026nbsp;slow you down. We push our bodies to the max\\u0026nbsp;and sometimes, we get sore or injured muscles\\u0026nbsp;or joints. I was\\u0026nbsp;good at it, so I just did it. I didn\\u0026rsquo;t really have to\\u0026nbsp;train that much to win races. As I got older, I realized\\u0026nbsp;that I have to take better care of my body.\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;Now diet, rest and recovery are more important\\u0026nbsp;than a few years ago.\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;span class=\\u0026quot;interviewq\\u0026quot;\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;What\\u0026rsquo;s your single greatest goal ever?\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;\/span\\u0026gt;Well, my single greatest goal is to become the\\u0026nbsp;greatest. Also my\\u0026nbsp;mentor and coach Glen Mills. He used to tell\\u0026nbsp;me, \\u0026ldquo;Everybody on the circuit, everybody at the\\u0026nbsp;Championships are talented athletes already.
