A finales de los a\u00f1os veinte, las zapatillas Dassler ya aparec\u00edan en la escena mundial. Su calzado fue utilizado por numerosos atletas de \u00e9lite, lo que ayud\u00f3 al peque\u00f1o fabricante alem\u00e1n a ganarse la atenci\u00f3n internacional. Josef Waitzer, un asesor cercano, desempe\u00f1\u00f3 un papel clave en este \u00e9xito al conectar directamente a los hermanos con los atletas y proporcionarles informaci\u00f3n sobre su rendimiento, un enfoque que sigue sustentando el mantra actual de PUMA de impulsar el rendimiento deportivo a trav\u00e9s del conocimiento directo de los atletas.\u00a0<br><br>Uno de los momentos m\u00e1s famosos se produjo durante los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Berl\u00edn de 1936, en los que el atleta estadounidense de atletismo Jesse Owens gan\u00f3 cuatro medallas de oro calzando clavos Dassler. En 1947, 28 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de fundar su empresa juntos, decidieron tomar caminos separados.\u00a0<br><br>En enero de 1948, Rudolf Dassler registr\u00f3 una nueva empresa de fabricaci\u00f3n de calzado en el ayuntamiento de Herzogenaurach.
