Sehen Sie sich das inspirierende Interview unten an!<br\/>\n<\/div>\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- row two columns -->\n<div class=\"row rowTwoColumnsWide spacing\">\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div ><br\/><strong><em>Was sind Ihre Ziele f\u00fcr dieses Jahr?<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Das Einzige, was mir in meiner Medaillensammlung noch fehlt, ist eine Goldmedaille von den Weltmeisterschaften, also hoffe ich wirklich, dass ich dieses Jahr eine bekommen kann, und ich denke, wir haben eine gute Chance. Ich denke, das ist das Hauptziel. Au\u00dferdem m\u00f6chte ich meine Zeiten \u00fcber 100 m und 200 m verbessern und nat\u00fcrlich langfristig meine Distanz. Haupts\u00e4chlich m\u00f6chte ich einfach ein bisschen besser sein, als ich es je war.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong><em>Wie bereiten Sie sich auf die Weltmeisterschaft in Paris in diesem Jahr vor?<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Nun, die Saison ist ziemlich kurz, weil die Weltmeisterschaften im Juli stattfinden, also haben wir nur wenig Zeit, uns vorzubereiten. Jetzt bin ich im Wintertraining, also mache ich jetzt das ganze harte Training. Dann fahre ich f\u00fcr zwei Wochen ins Trainingslager nach Kreta, und danach stehen vier Wochen mit vielen Rennen an, und dann, wenn es gut l\u00e4uft, werde ich und dann drei Wochen lang sehr hart trainieren. Und dann sind schon die Meisterschaften! Es ist also wirklich kurz, aber sehr intensiv. Und nat\u00fcrlich muss ich nur darauf achten, dass ich mich nicht verletze, dann wird es gut.<br\/>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div ><br\/><strong><em>Im Sommer 2021 in Tokio haben Sie die Goldmedaille \u00fcber 100 m T64 und 200 m T64 bei den Frauen gewonnen. Wie sch\u00e4tzen Sie Ihre Chancen bei den Weltmeisterschaften in Paris ein?<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Ich denke, meine Chancen sind ziemlich gut. Ich denke, meine gr\u00f6\u00dften Chancen liegen bei den 200m. Aber ich habe auch gute Chancen auf die 100, je nachdem wie meine Saison verl\u00e4uft, denn eine meiner Teamkolleginnen ist im Moment die Schnellste. Aber ich habe nicht vor, es dabei zu belassen! Wir werden also sehen, wie nah ich an sie herankomme, und dann werden wir es herausfinden. Aber meine gr\u00f6\u00dften Chancen liegen auf den 200m.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong><em>Wie sieht ein typischer Tag bei Ihnen aus?<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Nun, an den meisten Tagen bin ich beim Training. Zum Gl\u00fcck haben wir nur um zehn Uhr Training, so dass ich gegen acht Uhr aufstehe. Ich mache mir erst mal Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck und chille, dann mache ich mich fertig und fahre dann langsam zum Training. Ich trainiere zweieinhalb bis drei Stunden. Danach essen wir oft zu Mittag und je nach Nachmittag gehe ich manchmal lernen und manchmal mache ich ein zweites Training. Das h\u00e4ngt wirklich davon ab. Danach gehe ich nach Hause, dusche und entspanne mich und erledige noch etwas Arbeit, beantworte E-Mails oder lerne. Wo bewahren Sie sie auf?<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Ich habe einen Schrank in meinem Wohnzimmer, einen offenen Schrank, in den man normalerweise B\u00fccher stellt, aber stattdessen lege ich meine Medaillen dort hinein. Meine paralympischen Medaillen bekommen eine eigene Schachtel. Meine Goldmedaillen liegen also ganz oben, und darunter sind meine beiden Bronzemedaillen. Und darunter liegen meine Weltmedaillen, und zwar paarweise. Und dann sind meine europ\u00e4ischen Medaillen in Dreiergruppen. Ich kann sie also jeden Tag sehen. Das ist meine Motivation.<br\/>\n<br\/>Es ist eine Motivation, weiterhin das zu tun, was ich liebe. Aber es ist auch eine Motivation f\u00fcr das, was ich bereits erreicht habe. Es ist eine Best\u00e4tigung daf\u00fcr, dass ich das Richtige tue und dass ich tats\u00e4chlich ein guter Sportler bin. Es ist sch\u00f6n zu sehen, was ich erreicht habe.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong><em>Haben Sie ein Vorbild?<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Nicht wirklich eine Person. Mein Motto ist, dass jeder auf seine eigene Art ein Vorbild ist. Ich habe also keine bestimmte Person, aber ich glaube, ich kann von jedem lernen und mich inspirieren lassen. Ich habe kein Vorbild, denn jeder ist mein Vorbild.<br\/>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div ><br\/><strong><em>Wie gehen Sie mit schlechten Tagen um?<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Man hat gute und schlechte Tage, so ist das Leben nun mal. Und man wird die schlechten Tage \u00fcberstehen. Bei den schlechten Tagen muss man daran denken, dass die Zeit weitergeht. Also haltet einfach durch. Entspann dich einfach, das ist schon okay. Aber auch an den schlechten Tagen solltest du einen kleinen Schritt zur\u00fccktreten. Nat\u00fcrlich gibt es physische K\u00e4mpfe und mentale schlechte Tage. Und an k\u00f6rperlich schlechten Tagen muss man dar\u00fcber nachdenken, ob man sein Training ein bisschen reduzieren muss, um sich nicht zu verletzen, denn verletzungsfrei zu bleiben ist immer noch das Wichtigste. Aber an mentalen Tagen denke ich, dass das Training tats\u00e4chlich hilft, denn selbst wenn ich mich nicht danach f\u00fchle, macht es mich immer gl\u00fccklich, zum Training zu gehen. Ich habe einen sehr guten Trainer, mit dem ich reden kann. Ich habe auch einen Freund, mit dem ich reden kann. Ich glaube, wenn ich einfach \u00fcber meine Gef\u00fchle spreche und dar\u00fcber, was in den schlechten Tagen los ist, komme ich immer sehr gut durch. Schlechte Tage gehen immer vorbei, man muss sich nicht ewig schlecht f\u00fchlen. Man muss sie nur aussitzen.<br\/>\n<br\/><strong><em>Wer sind Ihre gr\u00f6\u00dften Unterst\u00fctzer?<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Nun, ich habe ein paar gro\u00dfe Unterst\u00fctzer. Nat\u00fcrlich meine Mum und mein Dad. Sie unterst\u00fctzen mich auf ihre eigene Art und Weise. Mein Vater googelt sich wirklich zu Tode, um Dinge \u00fcber mich herauszufinden, das ist wirklich lustig. Er schickt mir viele Links - das ist irgendwie nervig, aber das ist seine Art, mir zu sagen, dass er mich liebt! Mein Freund ist auch eine meiner gr\u00f6\u00dften St\u00fctzen, er muss sich jeden Tag mit mir auseinandersetzen. Und mein Trainer. Eine Sache, die ich immer mache, ist, 45-50 Minuten vor dem Rennen einen Red Bull zu trinken. Das ist eine ganz bestimmte Zeit! Es dauert eine Weile, bis der Zucker und das Koffein im K\u00f6rper ankommen. Und ich habe herausgefunden, dass mein Sweet Spot bei 45-50 Minuten liegt.<br\/>\n<br\/>Ich trinke Red Bull nur bei den Sprintrennen. Wenn man ein Red Bull trinkt, das viel Zucker und Koffein enth\u00e4lt, macht es einen high, aber es kann auch einen Absturz verursachen. Im Weitsprung kann ein Wettkampf eine Stunde dauern, also will man diesen Absturz nicht. Deshalb trinke ich Red Bull nicht beim Weitsprung, sondern nur bei den Sprints, weil die bestenfalls 26 Sekunden dauern. Ich habe gemerkt, dass ich etwa eineinhalb bis eine Stunde und 45 Minuten sp\u00e4ter abst\u00fcrze. Das ist also perfekt.<br\/>\n<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div ><br\/><strong><em>Welchen Rat w\u00fcrden Sie einem jungen, aufstrebenden Para-Sportler geben?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><br\/>\n<br\/>Marlene: Habt Spa\u00df. Ich glaube, das Wichtigste am Training, vor allem wenn man so viel trainiert, um dieses Niveau zu erreichen und sehr hart zu arbeiten, ist, dass man Spa\u00df dabei hat. Und das ist das Allerwichtigste. Wenn du keinen Spa\u00df hast, dann mach bitte etwas anderes. Es ist mir egal, wie talentiert du bist. Wenn es dir nicht gef\u00e4llt, geh und mach etwas anderes, denn du wirst hinfallen und nicht mehr aufstehen k\u00f6nnen, wenn du keinen Spa\u00df hast. I think that is the main goal. I would also want to better my times on 100m and 200m and of course my distance in the long term. I mostly just want to be a little bit better than I ever was.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;em\\u0026gt;How are you preparing for the World Championships in Paris this year?\\u0026lt;\/em\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Marlene: Well, it\u2019s quite a short season because the World Championships are in July, so we have a short time to prepare. Now, I\u2019m in my winter training, so I\u2019m doing all the hard training now. Then I will go to Crete for a training camp for two weeks and after that we have four weeks of races, like a lot of races, and then, if it goes well, I will and then it\u2019s three weeks of very hard training. And then it\u2019s the championships already! So, it\u2019s really short but very intense. And of course, just making sure I don\u2019t get injured and it will be good.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\",\"contentRight\":\"\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;em\\u0026gt;In summer 2021 in Tokyo, you won the gold medal in both the women\u2019s 100 metres T64 and 200 metres T64 events. I think my biggest chances are in the 200m. But I also have good chances on the 100 depending on how my season will go because one of my teammates is the fastest right now. But I\u2019m not planning to keep it that way! So we\u2019ll see how close I can get to her and then we\u2019ll find out. Luckily, we only have training at ten, so I get up around eight. I first make myself breakfast and chill, then I get myself ready and then slowly bike to my training. I train for two and a half, three hours. Then we often have lunch and depending on the afternoon, sometimes I go study and sometimes I do a second training. It really depends. And after that I just go home, shower and relax and do some work, answering emails or studying. Where do you store them?\\u0026lt;\/em\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Marlene: I have a cabinet in my living room, an open cabinet, which normally you put books in, but instead I put my medals in there. My Paralympic medals get their own box. So my gold medals are on top, and underneath that are my two bronze medals. And then underneath that you have my world medals and those are in pairs. And then my European medals are in like triples. So, I can see them everyday. That\u2019s my motivation.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;It\u2019s a motivation to keep doing what I love. But it\u2019s also a motivation about what I have already achieved. It\u2019s confirms that I\u2019m doing the right thing and that I\u2019m actually a good athlete. It\u2019s nice to see what I have accomplished.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;em\\u0026gt;Do you have a role model?\\u0026lt;\/em\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;\/strong\\u0026gt;\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;Marlene: Not really one person. My motto is that everyone is a role model in their own way. So I don\u2019t have one particular person, but I believe I can learn and get inspired by everyone. And you will get through the bad days. With the bad days, you must remember time will go on. So just hang on. Just chill, you know, it\u2019s okay. But also on the bad days, take a little step back. Of course, you have physical battles and mental bad days. And on physical bad days, you have to think about, okay, do I need to like cut a bit on my training so I don\u2019t get injured because injured staying injury free is still the most important part. But on mental days I think training actually helps because even if I don\u2019t feel like it, going to training always makes me happy. I have a very good coach, who I can talk to. I have a boyfriend which I can talk to. I think if I just talk about my feelings and about what\u2019s going on in those bad days, I always get through very well. Bad days always go by, it\u2019s not forever that you feel bad. He sends me lots of links \u2013 its kind of annoying but that\u2019s his way of telling me he loves me! My boyfriend is also one of my biggest supports, he has to deal with me every day. And my coach. Of course, I check everything. So, I check my blades, I get all the bolts and I check my spikes. One thing I always do is drink a Red Bull 45-50 minutes before my race. It is a very specific time! It takes some time for the sugar and caffeine to get into your system. If you drink a Red Bull, which has a lot of sugar and caffeine, it hypes you up, but it can also make you crash. In long jump, a competition can take an hour so you don\u2019t want that crash and that\u2019s why I don\u2019t do it for long jump but only for the sprint events because they\u2019re like 26 seconds at best. I noticed I crash from it about one and a half to one hour and 45 minutes later. And after that I just go home, shower and relax and do some work, answering emails or studying. And then my European medals are in like triples. So, I can see them everyday. That\u2019s my motivation.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;It\u2019s a motivation to keep doing what I love. But it\u2019s also a motivation about what I have already achieved. It\u2019s confirms that I\u2019m doing the right thing and that I\u2019m actually a good athlete. Of course, you have physical battles and mental bad days. And on physical bad days, you have to think about, okay, do I need to like cut a bit on my training so I don\u2019t get injured because injured staying injury free is still the most important part. But on mental days I think training actually helps because even if I don\u2019t feel like it, going to training always makes me happy. I have a very good coach, who I can talk to. I have a boyfriend which I can talk to. I think if I just talk about my feelings and about what\u2019s going on in those bad days, I always get through very well. Bad days always go by, it\u2019s not forever that you feel bad. Of course, I check everything. So, I check my blades, I get all the bolts and I check my spikes. One thing I always do is drink a Red Bull 45-50 minutes before my race. It is a very specific time! It takes some time for the sugar and caffeine to get into your system. And I found my sweet spot is around 45-50 minutes.\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;\\n\\u0026lt;br\/\\u0026gt;I only drink Red Bull for the sprint events. If you drink a Red Bull, which has a lot of sugar and caffeine, it hypes you up, but it can also make you crash. In long jump, a competition can take an hour so you don\u2019t want that crash and that\u2019s why I don\u2019t do it for long jump but only for the sprint events because they\u2019re like 26 seconds at best. I noticed I crash from it about one and a half to one hour and 45 minutes later.
