M\u00e4rz 2021 schuf Harrison die <strong>Beste Tagesleistung im Hoch- und Weitsprung bei den NCAA-Hallenmeisterschaften im Doppel<\/strong> in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Er stellte seine pers\u00f6nlichen Bestleistungen in beiden Disziplinen auf - 2,36 Meter und 8,47 Meter - und das im Abstand von nur zwei Stunden. Harrison ist au\u00dferdem der erste Amerikaner seit Jim Thorpe im Jahr 1912, der bei den Olympischen Spielen in diesem Sommer im Weit- und Hochsprung antritt. Bei seiner ersten Teilnahme an Olympischen Spielen \u00fcberhaupt wurde der 22-j\u00e4hrige Harrison Siebter im Hochsprung und F\u00fcnfter im Weitsprung.
