Die Wurzeln von PUMA reichen mehr als ein Jahrhundert zur\u00fcck, lange bevor es den Markennamen \u00fcberhaupt gab.<\/div>\n   <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<!-- row text single -->\n<div class=\"gradientnone\">\n<div class=\"row rowSingleColumnWide\">\n    <div class=\"col articleText\">\n        <div class=\"textStyle_default\" ><h2>Die fr\u00fchen Jahre: 1919 - 1927\u00a0<\/h2>Die Geschichte beginnt im November 1919, als die Br\u00fcder Rudolf und Adolf Dassler in ihrer Heimatstadt Herzogenaurach die \u201cGebr\u00fcder Dassler Schuhfabrik\u201d gr\u00fcnden. Vom Haus ihrer Eltern aus begannen sie mit der Produktion einer Reihe von Schuhen, wobei einige ihrer ersten Sportschuhe eher als Hobby oder Nebenprojekt neben der Hauptproduktion entwickelt wurden.\u00a0<br><br>Um das Unternehmen \u00fcber seine bescheidenen Anf\u00e4nge hinaus wachsen zu lassen, \u00fcbernahm Rudolf Dassler 1923 unter anderem die Verantwortung f\u00fcr Marketing und gesch\u00e4ftliche Belange.\u00a0<br><br>Ein Jahr sp\u00e4ter, am 1. Juli 1924, wurde das Unternehmen offiziell als \u201cGebr\u00fcder Dassler Sportschuhfabrik\u201d in das Handelsregister eingetragen. Bereits Ende der 1920er Jahre tauchen die Dassler Schuhe auf der Weltb\u00fchne auf. Bei den Olympischen Spielen 1928 in Amsterdam trug die deutsche Leichtathletin Lina Radke Dassler-Laufschuhe und stellte einen neuen Weltrekord \u00fcber 800 Meter auf.\u00a0<br><br>Etwa zur gleichen Zeit begann das Unternehmen, mit Markenbildung und Werbung zu experimentieren. Ihre Schuhe wurden von zahlreichen Spitzensportlern getragen und verhalfen dem kleinen deutschen Hersteller zu internationaler Aufmerksamkeit. Der enge Berater Josef Waitzer spielte eine Schl\u00fcsselrolle bei diesem Erfolg, indem er die Br\u00fcder direkt mit den Athleten zusammenbrachte und ihnen Leistungsfeedback gab - ein Ansatz, der auch heute noch PUMAs Mantra untermauert, die sportliche Leistung durch direkten Einblick in die Athleten zu steigern.\u00a0<br><br>Einer der ber\u00fchmtesten Momente ereignete sich bei den Olympischen Spielen 1936 in Berlin, als der amerikanische Leichtathlet Jesse Owens vier Goldmedaillen gewann, w\u00e4hrend er Dassler Spikes trug. Und die Medaillenstr\u00e4hne war noch nicht zu Ende. Die Athleten, die in Dassler-Schuhen antraten, gewannen sieben Gold- und f\u00fcnf Bronzemedaillen und brachen nebenbei zwei Weltrekorde und f\u00fcnf olympische Rekorde. Das war der internationale Durchbruch f\u00fcr die Br\u00fcder Dassler. Im Jahr 1947, 28 Jahre nach der Gr\u00fcndung ihres gemeinsamen Unternehmens, beschlossen sie, getrennte Wege zu gehen.\u00a0<br><br>Im Januar 1948 meldete Rudolf Dassler auf dem Rathaus in Herzogenaurach einen neuen Schuhproduktionsbetrieb an. Das Unternehmen hei\u00dft zun\u00e4chst \u201cSportschuhfabrik Rudolf Dassler (RUDA)\u201d.\u00a0<br><br>Mit nur 15 Mitarbeitern verwandelte Rudolf ein ehemaliges Lagerhaus in eine funktionierende Fabrik und begann mit dem Aufbau seiner eigenen Marke.\u00a0<br><br>Sp\u00e4ter in diesem Jahr, am <strong>1. Oktober 1948<\/strong>, wurde der Name PUMA offiziell als Marke eingetragen. Im Jahr 1952 stellte das Unternehmen den <strong>SUPER ATOM<\/strong>, der weithin als der weltweit erste Fu\u00dfballschuh mit Schraubstollen gilt. Urspr\u00fcnglich zur Stabilisierung des Fu\u00dfes geschaffen, bewies er schnell, dass er sowohl Stil als auch Substanz hat.\u00a0<br><br>Als der Sport immer mehr Aufmerksamkeit in den Medien erlangte, tauchte der Formstrip \u00fcberall auf und wurde zu einem charakteristischen Look, der PUMA sofort erkennbar machte.
