Bereits 2006 integrierte das Unternehmen eine Carbonplatte in den Fu\u00dfballschuh v1.06 \u2013 lange bevor Carbon als Leistungsmotor im Laufsport diskutiert wurde. Damals ging es nicht um Rekorde. Es ging um Gewicht, Stabilit\u00e4t und Druckverteilung. Carbon war das erste Material, das steif genug war, um zus\u00e4tzlichen Halt zu bieten, ohne das Gewicht zu erh\u00f6hen. \u201cCarbon bietet das beste Verh\u00e4ltnis von Gewicht zu Steifigkeit. Man kann etwas extrem steif machen, ohne es schwer zu machen\u201d, sagt Hartmann. F\u00fcr Fu\u00dfballer bedeutete das mehr Stabilit\u00e4t ohne zus\u00e4tzliches Gewicht und, was entscheidend ist, eine gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigere Druckverteilung unter den Stollen. Der Wechsel vom Pitch zum Marathonlauf war kein Zufall, sondern die logische Konsequenz aus der Begegnung von Material und Biomechanik. Carbon ver\u00e4ndert nicht den Fu\u00df. Es ver\u00e4ndert die Art und Weise, wie sich der Fu\u00df verh\u00e4lt. Jeder Mensch hat ein nat\u00fcrliches Laufmuster. Carbon beeinflusst dieses Muster, ohne es zu zerst\u00f6ren. \u201cMan landet etwas anders, rollt anders ab und st\u00f6\u00dft sich effizienter ab. Das ver\u00e4ndert alles\u201d, sagt Matthias Hartmann.<br><br>Kohlenstoff besteht aus Tausenden von Kohlenstofffilamenten, die d\u00fcnner als ein menschliches Haar sind. Diese werden zu Textilien geschichtet und in eine Polymermatrix eingebettet, bevor sie ausgeh\u00e4rtet werden. Die Ausrichtung dieser Fasern bestimmt, wie Kr\u00e4fte absorbiert und zur\u00fcckgegeben werden. \u201cHerk\u00f6mmliche Kunststoffe werden mit der Zeit tr\u00e4ge. Sie kriechen, verlieren an Spannung und kehren nicht vollst\u00e4ndig in ihre urspr\u00fcngliche Position zur\u00fcck\u201d, erkl\u00e4rt er.
